I'm wondering if there is a fast way to find your position on the various league tables? or monitor your progress?

The tables should be on the pages of the groups respectively.

Yes the unranked leagues and tournaments are usually more competitive with better coaches.

is it more difficult to find opponents due to a lower number of coaches?
what is the best unranked league?
can i join with my ranked team?
thanks for your advice!!

A good KO-tourney is

You need a 170-ish tr team to have a shot at that one though. The easiest way to develop a new team for a non- tr100 league is sadly enough to play a ranked team and then convert it. Most leagues start at tr100 though. You are British unfortunetly so I do don't think there is a national league available for you (Strangely enough, there ought to be a lot of Brits at Fumbbl?)

If you are in a scheduled league or tournament you get the games automatically, that is what makes me play in unranked almost exclusively. I don't have to convince people to play me. You actually gain something from developing your teams (in ranked you will always play an equal team in tr/ts not in matches so winnings etc means nothing).

i run a semi private league that has 2 divisions, with about 40 coaches, one for rookie teams and a open round robin schedule, the other is for teams that played in the rookie the previous season, 10 games plyed a season (usually a month) then playoffs to decide the winner Smile

My initial impression of the question was "is there an easier way to find my ranking in the championship / coaches tables?" ...

There is a Coach Standing link on your "info" page, which gets the right page for your coach ranking (it also lists your current 'rank', and the championship standing).

I've never seen anything that links to your position in the championship table though (just the number on the coach info page).
______________

PS: The other stuff people have said is quite true, and unranked leagues are much more interesting (imho) than the open league that is "ranked"... but i don't know that it addresses the original question Razz
