in the match report screen, how come sometimes eg.

there are only like six or seven names in the list for one or otehr team? does this mean that only seven players played? or what? or am i just thick? or both? |

Only players who have either earned SPP or suffered an injury during that game show up in that list. |

Does that include BH? There seems to always be a few people with no injuries or SPP earned in that list. |

IIRC, yes. An entry is added to the game record for each player that get a record in the results file. It's been a while since I wrote the first .res file parser, but I seem to remember the client outputting a record for each player with any spp earned or casualty scored against them. |

With the newer passing and rushings stats, anyone who passed or ran the ball shows up in the result screen even though their stats don't |

so, just to recap: the following people show up in the result screen:
anyone who passed or ran the ball; anyone who got or became a casualty; anyone who scored a touchdown (obviously, since they would have had the ball to do that...).
Is that it? |

Players that show up if they:
Passed the ball succesfully
Ran with the ball (moved at least one square with the ball)
Scored a TD
Inflicted a casualty
Suffered a casualty (not sure if suffering a casualty and regenerating shows up though)
Earned MVP
Intercepted the ball
