Im new to this site and the play link at the top of the page isn't working for me i think its something to do with java.

Have I missed out a download?

well, if you say what you have, we can say what you miss Smile

You need the 8.6 client and Java (I recommend 1.4.2 but 1.5 will work as well) Runtime (J2RE 1.4.2 or J2RE 1.5.x)

this should do to play. Though I do not use the play link I cannot say what you need more... maybe something for WebStart

Hmmm. Maybe reading the first page when joining would tell you where you could get those...

http://javabbowl.no-ip.org/ for the 8.6 client , java is best just to google for if you havent got it already .

Note though that it is the play button next to your team name that is best to use rather than the one at the top of the screen

while we're at it. I never managed to get the "play" link work and no one has ever been able to point me to what I should change on myu configuration.

That's ok since I know how to launch gamles by hand, but still. I never found it written anywhere.

Does anyone know ?

are you talking about thge play link in the top left hand corner or the play links next to each team on your overview screen ?

yep. and also the spectate link. If you know how to configure that, I would be very grateful, it would ease my blood bowl experience.

when u have it all installed java and client - and pressed spectate or play - just point it to the directory where u have unzipped the client - then it will know that that kind of links mean open javabloodbowl

There is a useful sticky post in the "Ideas & BugReports" section of the forum:
How to get the replay link to work on browser xyz?

I think that the same thing applies for the Play and Spectate links.
