To my horror I just realised that the great great fumbbl.com site is plagued by a *music from jaws* banner!

Thus my question: Is this a permanent "feature" of the site from now on or just a temporary solution?

If it is permament, how much do I have to contribute to the fumbbl-fund to get rid of it? Question

Well, it's not a revenue generating ad, so don't worry about that new feature. It's Christer's site and he's allowed to change it as he sees fit. If he wants to promote a cause, I think it's safe to say that we can all live with that, right? For a bloody day, I would assume so.

That said, my first reaction was pretty similar, until I actually looked at it and read it. Smile

Sad to see close to nobody just clicks a link and educates her/himself on the matter.

Sad? what's so sad about it. I pay ZERO attention to banners, be them advertisements or not. Besides, one word stuck out in the banner: "Brussels". Considering brussels is across the pond, I highly doubt I'll be attending, so why bother clicking the ad?

It actually concerns far more than one specific part of the world. Brussels is the place of the demonstration, doesn't mean the issue could touch you over there as well. Actually it does already.

I clicked, looked at the site, and couldn't find any discussion about what the protest what about, who it was targetting and why you ought to protest. Just seemed to be about protesting for protestings sake....
