Been looking through forum threads trying to figure out an easy way to link a song to a team bio. Apparently I'm no good at searching them or it's never been posted. I'm betting the first.
Anyway...
I've found a website where a short clip of the song comes up automatically when you visit it.
Is there an easy way to link my team bio to this other website so that the song comes up with my team bio?
any help is much appreciated.

It's possible to do so, but it is regarded as kind of acustical spam.

even if it's short and somewhat amusing?
I suppose when some unsuspecting fummbler checked out the team bio while at work and Enrique Iglesias started blaring, it could be a wee bit embarrassing.

I'd like to ask you to please not do it. I've already seen a number of teams with songs on their page that automatically start to play, and it's extremely annoying. If you really need a song on your front page either just link to it, or at least make it so that it doesn't start to play automatically. That way visitors can decide for themselves if they want to hear the song or not.

Code:
<embed src="http://www.alpha-programming.co.uk/audio/midi/midis/comp/cannon/cannonfod.mid" hidden="true" autostart="true" autoplay="true" loop="false" volume="100%" border="0" height="15" width="145">

Copy and Paste the above, change the link.

you can edit the parameters like width (how wide your player is), autoplay true/false (start playing when page is opened or not), hidden true/false (show player or not etcetera). This requires the page opener to have a program installed that can open these files through the browser. e.g quicktime.

Here is an example

You mean something a bit like this
Code:

<bgsound SRC="http://www.mobiuseng.com/Kermit/Songs/Kermit.wav" >

Right don't use either of those, find the song on YouTube or something and use the embed link provided.

Reason why, that way people can choose to play it or not, rather than it just playing. Any team that has music I can't stop I instantly leave. I'm not the only one. If you want less games, use on of the above codes. If not, find a way to embed that can be stopped.

Also I hear nothing on that page G_Force

Ok, found a way.

Code:
<embed src="www.wheremaisong.com" width=145 height=55>
<noembed>
<bgsound src="www.wheremaisong.com" loop=infinite>
</noembed>

Change the url to the url of your music file.

That'll allow people to stop it.

my sound clip has finished before the image is even loaded so i put it back the way it was but thanks. I'm unlikely to add music to any other bios but if i do i'll try to remeber to use that little snippet of code.

All i did was add the "embed" code to my bio - sure, it's not music per se, but it does the job quite well. Smile

For the love of god don't do it!

It is one of THE most annoying things to ever put on a team page! Sad
