custom icons revert when moving

My custom icons revert to the original ones when turned sideways and moving and not the side views off the custom icons.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

You have to keep the naming pattern for the icon files.
Let's assume the custom icon should be called cutter1.gif then use the following pattern:

  • cutter1.gif - for the normal red player icon
  • cutter1an.gif for the moving red player
  • cutter1b.gif for the regular blue player
  • cutter1ban.gif for the selected blue player

yeah ive done that but they still revert back to stock images Sad

Most probably you have either duplicates or have named the icons incorrectly. Remember that they are case sensitive so if your icon is called dwarf1.GIF then the icons.ini file needs a description for Dwarf1.GIF and so on. A common mistake.

Oh and make sure you don't have 2 dwarf.gif files in the pics folder.

I think it has something to do with the images being saved as .JPG and not .GIF

Yes indeed, that might be the case. Jpegs are no good choice anyway, since they do not support transparency, like Gifs or Pngs.

sorted, I uploaded the icon images to image shack and re saved them as .gif

Get the proper image when turned sideways now so all good.
