Mighty Blow, Dirty Player, and possibly other skills say that the bonus can be applied either to the armor roll or to the injury roll. However, my mummies with MB are never given a choice as to where they would like the bonus applied; it seems always to be applied to the armor roll. Is this due to a house rule or a rule modification I haven't noticed documented, or is it just a limitation of the java client?

If the bonus would make a difference on the armor roll, it is applied there. If not, it is applied to the injury roll (if any).

For example, if you rolled a 7 on your armor roll vs. my feeble Lion Warrior, the client would automatically use MB on the injury roll. Ouch.
If you rolled a 6, the client would use MB to make it a 7, and you roll the injury without the bonus.
If you rolled a 5, it just doesn't matter, does it?

Basically it should give you the best possible outcome, whatever you roll. Think of clicking through po-ups every time you block and tell me that it's not a good thing...

Ah, I see. In the offline league I played in some time ago, you had to declare where you would use the bonus *before* you made the armor roll.

Thanks for the clarification.

there is still the small problem that the java clint uses Mblw insted of pion when U just need +1 to get true the amour resulting in a injury roll with out any modificer. while if u had used pion u wouldt have +1 to the injury roll with your Mblw skill, is there any why to give pion a higher priority than Mblw?

This is just a guess, but I think the idea is that you break armor either way and staying on your feet is usually considered preferable to +1 on the injury roll.

That's just a guess on how it is coded and the logic behind it, though.

i dont think you can use both skills at once so it picks the best one that will get through. Or maybe you have to select pileon before making the tackle

as far as i am aware, this is fixed, as it now asks you whether u wish to break armor with piling on or mighty blow

Indeed. If you have MB and PO it asks you which one to use to break armor.

Is that true? So I can have Claws and Mighty Blow together now? Fine Smile

Cris has (had) a Stormvermin with Claw, RSC and MB. He must have got the second trait after MB.
