Operating System

Ubuntu Feisty Fawn 7.04

Java version (output from java -version)

java version "1.6.0_12"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_12-b04)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 11.2-b01, mixed mode, sharing)

Bug description

Each time my opponent does something (choose an action with a player, confirm setup), the client freezes for me. From this point, nothing more happens on my end; I cannot even see what I type in chat, though my opponent can. Reloading lets me see what I missed and the game can continue, but the next action from my opponent triggers the same problem.

well, i have bought a new computer, so i'm running vista now, but i will run ubuntu on it as well (a more recent version, as 7.04 is no longer supported)

i'll post again after trying; but i'll point out that this problem occured only as of version 0.2.6 (i did experience freezes before, but not systematically)

I haven't used the new client a lot myself, but here's an idea:

you'll have to set SunJava to be the default Java... This is done by typing the following command in a terminal:

sudo update-alternatives --config java

and selecting Sun java.

If you havent told Linux to use sun it keep on going with the one that comes with the install(as far as I know). I myself is on Ubunu 9.04.. Might have a say but I don't think so.
Hope this helps
