a very nice read and solid tactic for human teams. the only thing that lacks is abit of info about a dtlino. a block tackle divingtckle line in a human team makes wonders. its a roadblock that many teams have a problem getting past. it makes playing against elves so much easier

Great run-down. I totally agree; humans are underrated by many. And they're fun to play 'cos you can do almost anything with them with some success.

I agree with Diddy boy, and as ever Jan knows his shit when it comes to coaching humans! A great read for all fans and enemies of humans alike!

Dauntless is the perfect choice for catchers in case of doubles.

Isn't Dauntless a G skill?

Very interesting read anyway =)

EDIT: ok, after seeing that Stand Firm is mentioned as a doubles, it just dawned on me that this might be LRB4 =P Sorry about that!

Eddy you do make a very good point still in how the more current ruleset allows Humans to make their Catchers more formidable aspects of their Blocking/Blitzing game without the need for a double. That Catcher can use his double for Mighty Blow or Guard (or some other useful skill of your choice) to combine with Block and Dauntless.

You can give MB to str2 players now? Just doesnt seem right to me.

Im not sure you will see many MB catchers mind, I suspect nerves of steel might be the most popular double. Although no doubt a few will pick MB!

And what Catalyst32 says is certainly true, humans are improved considerably in LRB5+. Generally though about the article, I dont agree that they can be made a competitve race in "normal" situations in LRB4. But it was a great read, I always enjoy hearing the opinions of other coaches, especially experienced and successful ones.

Damn. That is what I wanted to do too. Forgot about that pesky little rule.

I guess I'll have to stick to MulitBlock... jk.

hi there
very nice article. exactly what i expected from you ! \o/ hellfishes !

i really like what you said about the ogre. it changed not only my human team but i think its a nice turn to not just use big guy as los fudder.

one other thing i want to say is the option to use catcher as runner.
with surehand/block they are near have -st but + dodge and more movement than an thrower.

the more movement let me keep him way behind like an elf thrower and in turn 4-5 he moves forward if i have control of the match or he comes hand off /throw to an blitzer/lineman in critical situations.

that means i dont have to cage and have more players for offense actions.

i know my blackbox team isnt the usual human team because of all the stat luck.
but i saw another human coach playing like this and think its a worth a shot.
what do you think ?
