Barik Farblast is an okay star player too but your not going to be passing the ball with dwarves anyway.

If that you was directed at me I wouldn't be so sure... Wink

Only 1 agility monster eligible for the top passing dwarves' list -WEAK!

The star player list is fun enough(I love stats and stuff Surprised ) so thanks for taking the time to make it but in the end the percentages don't really mean much.

I've updated the main article with Ithaca and Humerus' new values

Heh sry that was directed at Rabe and the top passing dwarves' list. Fixed my post so it might make more sense.

Galak has confirmed that Zug was based on a Black Orc, he also said any stat increases had an extra 10k added to their usual cost. So if you factor this in to your equasions, they may look closer to the mark?

Mighty Zug: 260k (+13%)
Human Lineman +STR, +STR, +AV, Block, Mighty Blow, -MA**, -MA**, -AGI**
50 +50 +50 +30 +20 +30 = 230k
INJURY: -MA -MA -AGI

Image
Mighty Zug: 260k (+44%)
Ogre Block, -bonehead, -thick skull**, -MA**,
140 +30 +30 -20 = 180k
INJURY: -MA

Image
Mighty Zug: 260k (+53%)
Human Blocker +STR, Block, Mighty Blow
80 +50 +20 +20 = 170k
(Human Blocker was a positional identical to the Black Orc Blocker, available for human teams in 2nd ed)

Reposting the calculations on Zug w/ three different starting positionals. I'm not sure between human lineman (what's in the article right now) and black orc blocker; definitely don't think ogre works at all.

Black orc blocker: gives a calculation without injuries (good), gives an unfairly high cost of +53% for zug because black orcs are insanely cheap (bad)

Thoughts?

On the +10k for statups, I think that can be safely ignored.

Thoughts, hmmm, my initial thought is Galak just made it all up randomly lol Wink

He also said this -
Quote:
The Big Guys were based by adding skills and stats to a Saurus. Negatraits reduce the price by a %. Like Bonehead reduce the price of the overall player by 16.7% (ie Brick and Bertha).

I wonder how much difference this makes to your big guy calculations.

Edit: asked galak, he said the extra 80k was added after play testing. But his original price started off as 180k (the extra 10k because you missed out his 10k charge for a star player price increase)

what would be the value of secret weapons? mainly looking at Sinnedbad, his costing seems too low for what he has.

Same thing for Barik Farblast who is a very valuable player for dwarves since he has all the built-in re-rolls he needs for getting an passing the ball. With high MA he also helps the team in general. And he can also be used for fouling.

Nice necro by the way. Wink

I'd say secret weapon should apply about a 0.5 -> 0.33 modifier to cost, as they tend to be sent off after 1/2 to 1/3rd or so of the length of the game. When I tried doing some of the secret weapon stars it was pretty difficult to get as solid a list (less same-race positionals to compare with)

and yet Willow Rosebark and Dolfar Longstride are the stars nobody takes because they are incredibly useless, in spite of their cost-effectiveness.

I'd compare Zug with a BoB, because it is basically a hyped bob -greenskin (injury?)
