Coach Chandler's
Season 14 predictions

With season 14 approaching I figure I’ll do some predictions just like all
some of you will do. With the realignment to four conferences, 2 experienced
and 2 brand new it should make for some interesting competition.

First the Four Conference Champions

Big Beast:
Looks like a Rebuilding Season for the Big Beast with all of its Teams
Losing experienced players. Tough Call But if Nevada's Star Ghoul can stay
Healthy could lead to a Conference Championship if those Wolves can get some
early experience. This one looks like it will be between the BlackKnights and
Nevada.

Prediction: Nevada

Southern Chaos Conference:
One of the rookie conferences this one should be an easy win for the
Arizona with all the other teams lacking Tackle to begin.
The wild Card in this Division is Bumbbl U as you never know what Goblins
Will pull out. If Fresno, The Rebels, or HSU can get some quick tackle
this could lead to an upset, but this looks like Arizona's Conference to lose

Prediction: Arizona

Smack 5:

This looks to be the most competitive division with both members of last
years National Championship fighting it out in here. Missouri Has some
Potential and U Con has the bench to foul another team off the field,
But this one comes down to Oregon vs Vampirebilt and its hard to pick
against the national Champs

Prediction: Oregon

Fumbbl Bowl Conference:
The second of the rookie conferences could go 1-2 ways. Either Bama or Pain State
Bashes their way to a Title or TCU, Hawaii, or Stanford finds a way to elf their
way to one. Hard to pick against dwarfs early

Prediction: Bama

The National Championship is a tough one to call this year,
But I think Oregon is going to find a way back and be challenged by The Blackknights
With Zach "Zap" Williams living up to the star players the knights continue
to put out and Leading them to the National title.

Prediction: Blackknights

Hawaii is ready to return and re-dominate all the passing records year after year.

Also, Hawaii would like to ACCEPT the rivalry request put forth by Fresno State.

The First Game of the NCBB season kicked off and Fresno State lived up to its red wave name, Kyle "Hammer" Gronski continued to smash and racked up 4 more CAS. Evan "bulldozer" Wieks Chimed in with an RIP to the Opposition.

Overall Fresno just had too much bash for the Bumbbl U Gobo's.

There was one bright spot where Ploorg H was TTM thrown right in between 2 CW while he had the ball and managed to zip threw their legs and Dodge into the endzone to tie the game up. On the Ensuing Kickoff he was promptly slain due to Fresno's Embarrassment at their in ability to stop the single Goblin on his way to the endzone.

Next Up for Fresno The California Golden Lizards

Built by the Gnome Depot

Chris Fouler: Welcome to the College GamePlay show, where we review and preview all of the recent National College Blood Bowl action! The NCBB has just started its 14th season, as week one is finally underway. With so many new teams and different conferences this year, there's a lot to preview, so let me introduce my partners, former Cal blocker Anthony Killer and current NC State quarterback Tyler Brosius. Quite a season we look to have, don't we fellas?

Anthony Killer: Right you are, Chrisss. There are a bunch of new programsss eager to prove themselvesss from the get-go.

Tyler Brosius: I'm just glad that many of these new programs seem to be more passer-friendly than the older schools, which are more run-based. The NCBB could be in for a new era of throwers before we know it.

Fouler: Perhaps it could, Tyler. By my count, we have ten new schools and one returning program in the Missouri Two-Hand-Touch Tigers. They were once a dominant program, getting to the title game in season seven and winning the Rose bowl and Fiesta bowl in seasons eight and nine, respectively. What could their addition to the Smack conference mean for the other teams?

Brosius: It means more high-scoring games, Chris. Missouri used to regularly beat down over-matched opponents by three or more scores, though teams like UCon always managed to force a slower-paced game against them.

Killer: It also means that the Sssmack 5 conference is easily the toughest in the NCBB, containing three of the last four national championship participantsss: Oregon and Vandy from last year and UCon from the ssseason before that. Add in Missouri and a promising Oregon Ssstate program, and the winner of thisss conference will likely be assured a ssspot in the title game.

Fouler: Indeed they may. What about the new conference they were matched up with, the Fumbbl Bowl Conference, or FBC? Who do you guys think will rise from that group of new programs.

Brosius: It's difficult to judge how freshman players will respond when they get in front of massive crowds, but my money is on the 'flyin Hawaiians' to run circles around their fellow freshmen. I like a team that dedicates itself to the passing game, and they show real promise already.

Fouler: Interesting. What about your old conference, Anthony, the Big Beast? While not the gauntlet that they once were, the Beast still has several strong programs.

Killer: Attrition over time has hurt the conference, Chrisss, but not their ability to compete at the highest level. Thisss year the BlackKnightsss aspire to win the championship, while both Air Force and Cal look to build on strong ssseasonsss.

Fouler: And how about the SCC, or Southern Chaos Conference? Several of the squads already show great potential.

Killer: They sssure do. Watch out for both Fresno Ssstate and Arizona this year, as they could pull off an upset or two.

Fouler: So who are your four conference winners and, ultimately, national champion?

Brosius: I'll take Missouri, Hawaii, Fresno, and the BlackKnights, with the Knights winning it over Missouri. Also, I'll go out on a limb and predict that David Graves of Hawaii will win the Gabbert-Bryant award this year as a freshman.

Killer: Write me down for Air Force, Arizona, Oregon, and Hawaii. Air Force will meet Oregon in the title game but the Waterfoul will be too much for the young program thisss time around. And sssince you made a bonus prediction, I will asss well: Rondon Bibbsss of Mizzou will take home the Banger-Hardell for being the nation'sss top offensive player.

Fouler: Bold predictions indeed, including some extra ones. It certainly looks to be another great season for the NCBB, and we've only just begun! Be sure to tune in next time as we review the first few weeks of action. For everyone here at College GamePlay, enjoy the new season!

CBBS Special Report: Season 13 All-Americans

A few years ago we unveiled the first ever All-American list of the top 12-16 players in the NCBB from season 8, split between offense, defense, and special teams. Fitz was even awesome enough to make a logo to go in these player's bios. So with another season complete, it's time once again to identify the best players in the league and put them on a 'super team,' aka the All-American team. Enjoy!

Offense:
-Conner Preston, SMU.
-Quentin Kantaris, BlackKnights.
-Jordan Poyer, Oregon State.
-Zach "Zap" Williams, BlackKnights.
-Troy Smith, Ohio State.

Defense:
-Zorn "Greater Scaup" Hunter, Oregon.
-Silver Bullet, Nevada.
-Mike Vrabel, Ohio State.
-Dillon van der Wal, Vampirebilt.
-#39 'Makers' Mark Hinkley (LB), UCon.

Special Teams:
-Reuben Robinson, Oregon State.
-Julian "another Rocket" Crockett, BlackKnights.

For those coaches who were lucky enough to have a player on this list, please put this image into their bio for all to see:

I've got a team ready to apply to the league, but I cannot find the "Apply team" link...It's been a while since I've been on Fumbbl, and any assistance would be appreciated.
