I'm guessing you'll have to find a slightly more decent picture to go with her then... Cool

Match #24: 1 - 1 draw versus the Halfling Hobbiton Titans. Chaotic bashfest without much players out of the match in the first half leads to a sneak escape and score by the halflings. Total domination and a dishing out of pain by the Doctrine in the second half, but unfortunately no real chance for another score, leads to a fair draw.

Last time I specced a game (which was a while back), he was lounging around in the KO or injury box

Match #25: 0 - 0 draw versus the Chaos Dagnabbit. Blockfest-draw that included a decent number of players on both side getting carried off the field, including The Jester, who perished about halfway in the first drive at the hands of Sleepy. However, Mum-O-Killowe managed a glorious two casualties for the Doctrine, both serious injuries, and has been named the best performing player on the Doctrine side.
Both teams came close to a score, the Doctrine just a few squares away from the end zone at the end of the first half, the Chaos opposition on the other hand came into total control at the end of the match, but without enough time to take it to a score.

Match #26: 2 - 0 victory versus the Chaos Virgo's Fist. The Doctrine started with a shaky start, quickly in a vulnerable position when we were receiving, and then losing the ball. However, a glorious moment in the game saw us take the ball, and then throw the ball with a long bomb pass - which led to our first touchdown! After that, the second drive saw us holding the line against the Chaos tide.
The second half was a cautious block and blitz-fest, which saw the Doctrine pushing the Fist to the side of the pitch, and then finally getting the ball loose just when the Fist was ready to break free at the side. A good fan tossed the ball in far, and the Doctrine took control of the moment, leading to the second score of the match!

Match #27: 1 - 2 loss versus the Human Dostoïevskillers. This started out as a balanced, tense match. One drive was for the Doctrine, who decided / were forced into an early score, which was a relatively easy one with a pass from Loh Psidid to Tiallin Turncloak. The other drive was one were the power-thrower of the Killers ran through at the side, protected by the rest of the Human pack - he almost did not make it, as the Doctrine pressured against the side, but in the end, he ran through.

It was the second half were disaster struck. Position control was lost relatively quickly, allowing the Killers to run wild and take full control, which allowed them to continuously knock down the Doctrine players and keep the ball exactly were they wanted to. This, combined with a good day for Helmut and his chainsaw and some bad karma moments for the Doctrine side, and we were helpless in the second half.
On top of that, we unfortunately have to say goodbye to Dr. Evil and Raluto; The Black Observer, who were both killed in action (Dr. Evil was, ironically, helped into the grave by the apothecary). And then finally, tragedy struck again with Mum-O-Killowe's injury, leading to an early retirement...

Alas, the Doctrine was overcome by bad momentum in this one!

Match #28: 2 - 1 victory versus the Dwarf Mineur. We played against a relatively newish ccoach, with a team of beardy ones with a good quantity of Guard and a nasty strong Blitzer. Fortunately, it was also a slow team, which allowed us to burst through for a solid touchdown in our first drive, by reforming a 3/4th cage on the side of their field. The second half of the first half saw us holding down the line.
That was too hard to repeat in the second half, however, when the Dwarfs took a dominant drive when it came to numbers and player pitch control. They choose to score instead of stall though, which allowed the Doctrine another couple of turns to score (or foul up completely). While giving the ball to our resident goblin, with the option to lob him out for a TTM-score, Tiallin Turncloak ran out as sole receiver, and managed to remain standing as the Dwarf onslaught came over him. It was easy enough to get the ball to Turncloak with a hand-off, and claim the victory!

Best player performance of the Doctrine side: Col-Jaron Vaarn, who clocked a touchdown ánd a casualty!

Match #29: 1 - 0 victory versus the Nurgle Rade Tentacles 12. Tentacles and Foul Appearance awaited the Doctrine this time in a sunny environment, in a match that saw a cautious yet thrilling first half, and then went into a second half were the Doctrine dominated in numbers and pitch control. The cautious first half drive, were Nurgle attempted a strategy of a balanced, waiting defence, took a long time to develop. When the Doctrine eventually decided to pass through the middle, the ball was not caught, as receiver Max of Nuln was unable to hold onto it. The savior then was Tiallin Turncloak, who countered a block against him, and therefore preserved the Doctrine momentum that caused the touchdown of the match. The second half, where numbers and pitch control was in Doctrine favor, just dwindled into a light bash, grab and pick up-fest, where the Doctrine was unable to score a second touchdown, but was possibly closer to another score then the Nurgle were to the equalizer.

Best player performance of the Doctrine side: Tiallin Turncloak, for enabling the touchdown with a momentous block-counter.

The Doctrine Returns!!

Match #30: 1 - 1 draw versus the Necromantic Twilight Werewolfes.

The Doctrine had a rusty start in the first half. Considering their long absence from the field, this should be no surprise, but the result was that they were quickly outnumbered and facing an uphill battle. They could not stop the advance of the Werewolfes, despite brave attempts, and in the dying moments of the first half, Tiallin even refused to try for the quick flying goblin touchdown - even though Dan was crazy enough to try.

In the second half, however, with the Doctrine receiving, things changed for the better. The old form was returning - even though it took some time to safeguard the ball - and with a subtle movement to the side, the Doctrine took control and the end result of 1 to 1 was secured. The Doctrine is looking forward to the future once more!

Best player performance of the Doctrine side: Tiallin Turncloak, for taking the ball to the end zone.
