The Players Pack is currently being revised to include the following:

Post Season Procedure

At the end of each season the following events occur in order:
1. Roll call of existing coaches
2. Existing coaches can indicate intention to apply for new positions
3. Update available positions
4. Add new coaches and confirm team selection
5. Coaching applications for left over teams
6. Conferences finalised

The roll call is issued via PM on the FUMBBL forum. Coaches must indicate their desire to participate in the next season by replying to this PM. If a coach is going away but will be back in time for the season to start, they should notify the league administrator beforehand.

During the roll call phase, existing coaches have the option of looking for a contract with a new team. To do this, they must notify the league administrator using the PM system on the FUMBBL website. If a coach does this, their team will be added to the available positions.

Once the available positions have been updated, new coaches are added to the league. New coaches are added in groups of 2 to keep numbers even, except in the case of 22 players, where the limit is extended to 24 as there is no method for balancing conferences at 22. Any odd coaches will be added to the substitutes list.

New coaches then have the opportunity to confirm their team selection based on the available positions which are updated to reflect any newly available positions.

Existing coaches who have made their intentions to seek other positions then have the opportunity to pick a new team from those available. If more than one coach is seeking a position, the coaches will be ordered roughly based on their success (relative to the team’s expectations), their commitment to the league and participation in “fluff”.

Finally, the conferences are finalised and the new season can start.

Buccaneers Caught Cheating!
Article Featured in the Urslo Press

The Northern Norse Showdown that occurred on the weekend was marred by constant cheating and un-norseman-like play by the Buccaneers. The first half featured "throwing" and "catching" of the football, which was greeted by boos from the crowd. Once again another player tried to use their neck to trip the Bears, fortunately no injuries were sustained. Except for the Buccaneer. They greased shoes and snuck additional armour onto the field.

Worst of all, towards the end of the second half, they managed to turn the ball invisible! At least, this reporter assumes that is what happened, since Urlso didn't try to pick the ball up and engaged in an all-in-brawl middle of the pitch, this lead to the Buccaneers fourth goal. The crowd loved it, Urslo tried their best this season but are now out of the hunt for the bowl.

All eyes are on Scorpions, Phoenix, Bulls, and Anvils who are now short priced favourites. The Panthers, Pride, and Buccaneers are remote chances.

Urlso fans are rallying behind the Bulls, whose proximity to Urlso, similiar play style, and shared hatred of Imperial Universities, elves, and most anything else; has led to an intense rivalry, mutual respect, and complicated relationship that makes little sense to those who aren't from the north.

Hey fellas, I have updated the Averheim bio for season 2. Any feedback or ways to make it a bit more pleasant to look at would be appreciated.

Hey Tomay would you consider adding a "update fluff" to part of the post match sequence? In case people wanted to get more into their side, create a bit more fluff (pehaps a word limit) update the logo (like the eagles)?

Outlaws deface the pitch
Article features in the Urslo Press

The weekends game which saw Urlso solidly defeat the Outlaws was marred by the outlaws defacing of the pitch itself. When the game started it seemed that they had painted their logo across the entire pitch, not just their half! A complaint was lodged and Urlso were advised that CBBA had sent them their logo specifications and they "didn't know how to change it".

Such an excuse is not surprising giving Hochlands reputation. No doubt the CBBA will continue to ignore Urlso's complaints until it bothers one of their fancy sides.

Urslo lost two good players in the game but press on ahead, the bowl is nothing but a mathematical possibility, however the red ribbon bowl is very much on the cards. Rumours that the side is completely broke have been confirmed, but Urlso fans are used to doing more for less.

The next game is agains the Bulls which could have a huge impact on the top 4.

"Looks like Averheim's mauling of the flings has allowed Coach Poods a 1 year stay of execution. Another losing record and he is out says Gunter Loring, Archchancellor of Averheim University"

The temporary closure of their stadium have left the Bulls a little laggin in behind their normal "Bull at a Gate" - ahem - pace with knocking over game features.

But Coach D_Arquebus is in negotiation with Coach Rangey to complete the second round feature and then get into playing new Arch Rivals the Bears.

Word around the Moot is that Coach K has been offered a "very generous" contract by more than one expansion team looking for him to guide them in their debut season.

Not surprisingly, the Big M are more than a little upset by the prospect of their coach moving onto greener pastures.

All-Star Fox Newpelt dismissed the rumors as codswallop: "He's a motivator and an innovator; genius is a term thrown around far too often in this day and age, however, in Coach K's case, what he has achieved in his time here IS a work of genius. I'll believe it when I see it..."

Coach K was unable to be reached for comment at this time.

In his post season wrap up the ALU coach was reported to have commented that expert advice provided to his players from the university's school of health prior to the season was total bunkum. Whilst the enlighten liberal intellectuals might believe that pre game sexual activity might actually be beneficial to a players performance, this obviously doesn't apply to elves consorting with forest spirits and other fey creatures. It was only after the coach caught them in the act after the Urslo Bears match and immediately initiated coitus interruptus through the application of a fire hose that the team's performance on the field started to improve.

Season 2 was a great disappointment and the expectations of the university and its fans have been pummelled in a whirlpool of tragedy (Ungrhalas Oakenrun RIP), fumbles (GW die average 1s 21% of the time, any ALU fan would give his right arm to have these dice) and cruel fate (Gunoren Springthorn's broken neck curtailing his career, could the university's apothecaries mix up a potion of health?)

Despite a strong run home, it is unlikely that the Great Eagles players will make the All Star Team! But you never know Smile

What will Season 3 bring?
What's the chance of touring leg with the Fighting Cocks in it?
Will the Great Eagles find themselves in a difference conference again?
Is the CBBA a 3 season sprint with the 4th there to try for a 'back to back'?

Phoenix for the perfect season!

Scorpians for an undefeated season

And they will be meeting in the Bowl!

Red ribbon still very much open with Anvils and Bulls have to be favourites to make it.

Phoenix are looking incredibly strong. Going to be a very uphill battle tbh.

I'm far from confident about going up against the Scorps...
