It's by a kabuki woodblock artist called Toyohara Kunichika.
Or if you meant fluffwise erm...........it's an image of the great Oni player 'Kabeoki' (Big Hippo). Who was a fan favourite for more than 20 years.
Sadly past away, he's remembered for all time with this symbol of respect. |

Sorry to push an old thread. But this tatami pitch is simply amazing!
I would love to use it as my standard pitch. Im desperately hoping it might work with the new client, any chances for that?

Probably not. I think pitches have to be the soul work of the creator, and of course I didn't create the centre image. However if you want it or want to use it, feel free to ask me for a copy. That's what it's for. If FUMBBL wanted to use it and put a new centre image, then that's fine too. It can be used how FUMBBL wishes.
I'll also be honest though, outside of contributing to whatball's work. I doubt I'll be doing anything positive or uploading to FUMBBL in the future.

Uhm, well. Delicate topic, im sorry to hear that in any case!
I know you were doing a lot behind the curtains to help keeping fumbbl spinning and that kind of attitude is/ was always appreciated and respected by me (and a heap of other coaches for sure).
Not sure if i got everything right, regarding the pitch issues (due to my english), so ill have a reread and -think before getting back. Think i might better send you a pm indeed, to avoid adding possible confusion to the thread.

Not that delicate. There's no issue, or problem. It's just not worth my time to do work then spend the time uploading for this community. We're on the whole on different wave lengths.
If you want the pitch, you can have it by all means. I'm happy for anybody to have my stuff. I can email it to you, or upload it to mediafire, no problem. I don't think this pitch is actually FUMBBL allowed though as I did not do the centre icon. FUMBBL artwork must be 100% of the contributor.
If somebody else wishes to alter it to make it FUMBBL legal, then fine go for it. Unless I saw it of benefit for me, which at the moment there isn't. I wouldn't do the work myself though. |
