Same problem here with an old pc laptop running on XP.
Application fails to launch. Impossible to upgrade Java enough...
New laptop inc I think. 9 years old is a prehistoric age for anything PC related I think.

Well, I uninstalled my Java 6 (lol, I had been resisting all suggestions to update because throughout the years there've been problems with newer Javas that my 6 never had to deal with) and installed the latest version, which according to the Java site was 8 (I run a standard Windows desktop...XP I think).

It didn't work at first. Client launched but the icons wouldn't load. Then I watched a replay and that did work. Then I spec'd a live match and it worked fine.

I'm probably the only person on the site who was running a desktop XP Java 6...but that's what worked for me.

Couldn't the Fumbbl app be backward compatible?

Since Namloc could play BB with Java6, I don't see why he can't anymore.

My guess is that this is related to SSL key exchange problems. Java6 gets confused by the more secure options (specifically, ciphers with more than 1024 bits DHE key exchange settings). I've reconfigured the web server to not accept DHE key exchange, and my scans seem to imply that Java6 should once again work. The cost of this change is that Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and OpenSSL 0.9.8y (and earlier) will no longer have a Forward Secrecy enabled cipher. (What this means is a bit beyond the scope of this thread Smile )

Hopefully, things should be back to working for you guys. Let me know.
