HUBBA 2 is back!
HUBBA 2 is a sister league to HUBBA. There are 24 teams, one from each race. Teams are assigned randomly. They are split into three divisions, with each team playing each other in its division. After the season there's an optional KO tournament.
This is European time league. Coaches from other timezones are welcome, but we expect you to be able to play during European evening time.
Ruleset is CRP with Galak's 4 proposed changes for CRP2:
- Right Stuff players ignores tackle when blocked
- PO doesn't stack with MB and Claw
- Self assist for Fouling
- Sneaky Git when a player with this skill is sent off they are sent to the KO box instead of being banned.
Since this league has been in slumber since the end of its last season, it's not yet definite how many spots, and which races, are available (this info will be known for certain in 10 days, at December 11th). Anyway, I'm starting the recruitment now because some places are definitely vacant - at least Necromantic is.

I am an American but I play as much during European evenings as I do US evenings. So count me in, add me to the list, or whatever.

Yes, you don't choose. People who stay play the same teams, so we'll get a pool of available races, then list all coaches from the waiting list, then roll a bunch of dice to see who gets which race. It's a great way to experience something new - you might draw a race you don't normally play. |

With almost all existing coaches having said their word, and counting all new people, we're looking at 23 coaches: just one short of the 24 needed to start the season.
There's a slight chance that one of the remaining existing coaches will want to stay (deadline tomorrow): then we'll have enough people to start. Otherwise (and in case of last-minute dropouts) we need one more coach. That means HUBBA 2 needs you! |

We have enough coaches now. What now?
First we wait a little bit until I get a response from one coach to pick his race. (That's a privilege of having played a HUBBA season!)
After that I'll announce the date and time of the draw - a festive event where we roll dice and determine who gets which race. It will be held on IRC, participation optional.
Then we'll have some time for team creation and friendlies: every new team gets one friendly match for free.
Then the season will start!
I don't name any fixed dates yet, but I wish to start the season as soon as possible. This league was delayed long enough as it is.
If anybody wishes to sign up for the waiting list, the recruitment is still open. |
