What all superstitions do y'all have? Which ones do we share as a site?

Like...

* Don't blog about a player until he's dead or retired, unless he's done something truly extraordinary (at least badge-worthy) or he just skilled up and you want to know what to take. Personal firsts (first legend) are a gray area.

* Only turn down Nuffle's gift if a normal skill would actually be better.

* GFIs into the endzone are prone to fail.

* Unnecessary turn 8 blocks are bad luck.

What else is there?

This isn't a superstition. It's just a fact that blocking when you should be scoring is testing fate. There is that risk of failure, which would prevent you from scoring. It's sound advice.

* Trust your gut feeling on a roll, even if the odds are in your favor and the roll is well worth the risk.

* If you use your apo on a player with (high) potential, something terrible will happen to a (currently) more useful player soon after.

* Never trust in 2+ rolls (they are much more likely to fail than any important 5+/6+ roll).

* Nuffle rewards the bold.

Edit:

* Your opponent's next block with Mighty Blow will certainly kill your (emerging) legend.

Not sure if it is a superstition or not, but if I play Skaven I always choose tails for the coin flip. I also have a superstition that says if you don't set up your offense expecting a blitz, it will happen.

Any player with a cool name will trip on a dodge and die horribly before their first skill. A player with a rubbish name will become a legend after 30 games Very Happy

I always try to be the first one to say HF and GL! I don't know why, but it feels lucky.

Also, I feel that tails seldom fails on coin tosses, but I take heads anyway to get my luck later in the game on something else that might be more important.

If you place your mouse over your player as he's being blocked, he's more like to survive. It works!
