Juggernaut. Take frenzy next. ST4 Jugs Frenzeh with MB = game winner.
You can pomb if you like but that won't be as much of a difference maker in tight games. The positional advantage you can potentially gain, the taking down of wrestle, and the surfs will win you games against the top tier coaches. |

Sorry, PO does not help you win more games. For the most part you do not want to be on the ground. |

Maybe combined with Jump Up it works well. It will very likely help you get player advantage. Which obviously helps win games. |

If he has any SS on the team he can also start creating some really nasty chain pushes that muck up the other coach's positioning and imperils the ball. |

Guard is also an option
... can get Side Step , Tackle later.
ST4 , Blodge, Guarder with Side Step is pretty nasty at times |

There is nothing in BB more satisfying that laying on the pitch after a devastating PileOn, you hear the roar of the crowd, the scream of pain from your victim, you roll over and see him getting carried off in a stretcher.
This is an experience the vast majority of elves can never have. |

I voted guard, but +MA is equally good (although much different in effect, obviously). A ma8 st4 player with the ball can break through a line and be (almost) out of reach for retaliation. |

Blah, Blah, Blah. Take +MA you already HAVE guards. Having a long range +MA/ MB & eventually tackle blitzer is worth MOAR!!!! The bottom line is that +MA is useful each & EVERY turn. |

Yeah there is... 2s later you hear the roar of the crowd, the crunch of your boot caving a hole in that elves' skull, and the sickening retch from his team-mates as the apothecary looks over with a shake of his head and begins to perform an on-field autopsy... |

This is one of those where you should consider inverting the poll. (Ignore +AV ofc since we all know it's next to pointless on anybody but a pomber who spends half the game on the floor.)
If you go with popular opinion, you'll be left with PO. You'll derp through some games, get the player fouled out of more, and the player's life expectancy will plummet. Don't forget, popular opinion will conincide with popular playstyles - the most popular being clawpomb. Have you seen much clawpomb play recently? Did you see this game? A legend coach playing like a nublet because all he cared about was clawpomb. In a major.
Don't get me wrong. I'd take PO on an elf. An ST4 elf could be better though.
Guard will be very useful. Guard wins games. The issue I have though is that guard is a support skill and you'll be using this player as a hitter.
Juggernaut will be the game changer. Jugs + Frenzy (+ Side step or Tackle at legend) will make him a menace.
When you have juggs/frenzy, the pitch narrows or players get surfed.
+MA will be good as well, but (superstition dictates) will invite the -MA injury! |

Mr Saw raises many valid points.
I'd like to change my vote from Guard to Juggs.
Also reassessing the wisdom of taking MB on witches. |
