How would you balance teams in CRP, assuming the only blanket change was that Claw was removed from the game?

All other mutations are on the table, just claw removed. Would you give anyone extra M access, or take it off doubles? Or would teams that rely on the Mutation access become unviable?

Edit: Feel free to discuss SL teams too.

The easiest solution would be to bring back claw to deal with those nasssty dwarves and orcses.

Why not just use the league options & not allow claw to stack w/ other skills? Removing it altogether is problematic IMO due to dwarves /orcs dominance w/out it.

That's doable within the new custom league environment. Just have your coaches pick a known doubles skill for that player to prove they rolled it & then edit the players skill to reflect they want claw instead.

Eh? Can we edit players now?

Or do you mean just dump the official claw teams and replace them with non claw alternatives or claw on double alternatives.

You couldn't easily balance, orc and dorf teams would just grow huge. If that was allowed to happen then you would need some way to make it more of a disadvantage to get so big, but that would encourage the firing of healthy players.

At the moment it is roughly paper > scissors > rock at high TV, by removing one of these you would also need to buff one other.

Just introduce an Ageing based on number of SPPs or skills to deal with the growth of Orcs and Dwarfs.
Set the Spiralling Expenses starting at 1550 instead of 1750, because at TV 1750 Blood Bowl is already too unbalanced due to skill stacks and stat freaks.

I had thought editing players was available, but maybe I'm wrong. Haven't tried it myself. Experiment time after work!

Edit: You canNOT currently edit rosters/players after team creation.

Yes, aging and faster death spirals are really a progressive way to address a non issue!

I think there should be a no Pro league... or a no Sneaky Git league... cause every time I see these skills on a player, I die a bit inside.
