You'd have to test it, but I think that'd work how you expect. Players would never gain skills naturally but any you add to the roster would show up. I think.

My experiance of cowheads college league suggests it would work. We would have to as commisoners manually do skill rolls and keep track of player spp levels. Send a PM about it to him, he is in our league as well so I'm sure would talk to you about how he does it.

One thing I do now is that if a site admin adds a skill (by a skill roll) to a non-progression team, the team automatically becomes progression.

How many coach can be admin for a custom ruleset? Is it 1 or many, or else?

You can ask Christer to add coaches to rulesets. I don't think there's an upper limit, but you should perhaps not have too many...

The coach who made the ruleset can add other coaches to ruleset to manage it. I think once a coach is a manager they can also add other coaches. So a league would not be dependant on the original commissioners to survive.

Might be wrong, but I think I remember that being related to the "use special rules" (words to that effect anyway) tickbox.

There is a dropdown. "Group type"
Select "league" and give it a ruleset id

Ah, yeah, I was thinking of the "Use custom settings for this tournament" tickbox, but that only applies to specific tourneys, not groups. So it's probably the answer to a different problem.

Heh heh.

I think Christer said something about making all this a little less confusing. Wink

Ithink that if your teams are not in a 'league' and are just in a 'meta group' then the default will be ruleset 6.

If the teams are in a league I think the league needs to have a ruleset. You can specify 6.

But do you really need a league or could you get by with a meta-group? Mr. Green

Edit: there may be an issue with saving the rulesset id. Check that it is really set.

chosing ruleset id 6 didn't work, but another ruleset did...
anyway, that ruleset works too.
Nevermind...
