And here is the question, EVERYBODY on fumbbl and on NFL-Networks is asking these days:
Who will win the NBFL-Superbowl???
I present to you the final four teams, starting with the NFC:
OTS´ Malice Cow-Boys vs. Ryanfitz´ Atlatl n Falchions
Malice Cow-Boys got to this conference final by destroying the scary Highelf team from Tampa Bowl. But they hit back, eliminating the last Claw-pombing Cowboy, Don Perkins! https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=3916374

And they did it with a dominant 2-0 after suffering a perfect Elf-blitz on the first kickoff! Unbelievable! On the downside, they are 1 Saurus down for the game against the Chaos Dwarfs, because Jaisn Jeffrsn got hurt again. https://fumbbl.com/p/player?player_id=9935996 With two niggling injuries maybe it´s time to call it a carreer and move on…
So, what do we expect for the conference final?
With one Saurus down, Ryanfitz´ team still seems to have huge advantage. This team has become very scary! And they haven´t got the team „ready to play“ yet, they might as well replace Jaisn Jeffrsn in order to get the 6th Saurus and even if they don´t, they are about 300k tv above their competition. If Malice Cow-Boys are to overcome the odds this time, it needs a team effort, and every player, including the Hobgoblins and the Minotaur, will have to pull their weight. One of the Bullcentaurs has tackle, this might help with the Skink-hunting. And maybe some bribes may permit enough fouls to help even the odds. Nevertheless, after whitnessing the way these lizards eliminated the actual NBFL champs Green Ball Attack from the competition at the end of the regular season (Saurus-interception and pass in the last turn), we know, that Nuffle smiles upon Atlatl. And the last 3 games Atlatl have not allowed any TD against them...
And whats going on in the AFC? Could the next Champ come from there?
Bazakastine´s Blitzburgh Steelers vs. JackassRampant´s Denvork Bronkorks
Blitzburgh Steelers lost in the last SB, now they have the chance to get back to the big dance. And they seem to be hungry. They have excelent GRs, but lack hard hitters and a dirty player in order to harrass the orcs somehow (well, one lino will still get a skill before they are „ready to play“). The linerats were beat up horribly against the Crypts – oh, the Indianapolis Crypts were on such an unexpected run, they were a mummy and a wight down and nevertheless seemed to have the game vs. Blitzburgh in their pocket, but AAAAAA!!!! some decision making and bad luck at the end, and a nice gift from Nufffle for the rats turned it all around. https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=3916570 They had it!!!! Well, thats the past – now this rats team seems to be the most fit to play against the scariest team of the NBFL:
Bronkorks got here through 2 overtime-wins. The first game vs. the scary Wrecks, the second vs. the Champs from their own division, San Dogo Chompers! Against these humans, a pickup-try without covering first against the worst possible case nearly cost them the game when the worst possible case happened: Pickup fumbbl, out of bounds, throw-in in front of uncovered human players, who scored... Bazakastine can score OTTDs at will, and he is quite used to stall out a secure 2-1 instead of running in all the TDs he can. The Orks key to victory is not permitting any stalling by smashing the rats and not letting the OTTD happen, again, based on smashing enough rats. Blitzburghs key to victory seems to be to know when to accelerate and score, keeping the Gutterrunners safe for the crucial situations. Having some bodies around to protect them would help, but who knows, how long these rats can hold up an authentic WAAAAAAAAGGGHHHHHH!!!
It is very difficult to forecast the winners (and i probably shouldnt), i just hope for a Lizardmen vs. Orks final (as an ork coach i want to see how to handle such crazy lizardmen).

Thanks, Bazakastine, for a hard match. Went to OT, was pretty thrilling the whole way through. I don't know if it's an instant NBFL classic, but it was a very good game. |
