A friend of mine has an +AG orc blitzer who suffered -1 AV. So AV 8 now. He is at 8 SPP after the first season. (We play tabletop Blood bowl, season length about 10-12 games, with a max of 7 seasons for a player, they start risking retirement after two seasons though... I think you all know) He only played 4 games due to time. but anyways... I heard that you guys are the best people around to ask. And since this thread already was here...

What to do with a +ag -av orc blitzer? Should he redraft it? SHould he not? SHould he redraft it and fire the thrower?

Fire all throwers.

Fire all AV busts (especially such young ones).

Don't play with anything that isn't AV9.

You build a team to its strengths, not to try and play around edge cases where you need to get bailed out by passing the ball or chucking goblins around.

That's not to say some coaches don't have some success with goblins or throwers, but they are the exception.

Orcs win most of their games by managing attrition, to do that you need removal skills and skills which allow you to control the blocking (so mighty blow, guard, and some tackle to deal with blodge). Orcs do not want to find themselves in games where they cannot control the blocking and where they cannot remove players from the other team.

So throwers and goblins do nothing for you in terms of attrition or blocking. They add TV to your team which means your opponent either has inducements (or in B/R has a higher TV as well), but you haven't gained any appreciable advantage.
