I've made a tool in Google Drive to allow you to calculate calculate the odds of removing a player, getting a player sent off, and the average team value change, when committing a foul.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_OwWXvN-jHnWK0FYAlbiQvw0o7fyMhMbKwHyr1ERxVY/edit?usp=sharing

Obviously it's usefulness depends on context. There are moments where fouling is a necessity regardless of the team value lost (some elf laying down inside your cage), and team value gains/losses from the foul can't always be judged in isolation (fouling clawpombers). Nonetheless I feel it can serve as a useful tool for coaches.

Awesome!

Any chance of a minor modification to add the calc for Arguing the call? (for TT and here basically)?

Thanks for the work even if not Very Happy

It wouldn't be hard to add in, but I'm unfamiliar with the specific rules for argue the call.

1 = player sent off as normal and coach sent off (-1 to brilliant coaching rolls and can no longer argue the call)
2-5 = player sent off as normal
6 = player is sent to reserves instead of being banned.

Upon first reading, I thought that would be tricky to add in, but it's not actually very difficult at all.

It's in. Just made it so that if Argue the Call = Yes, it multiplies the team value of the fouler after multiple recovery rolls by 5/6 and if Argue the Call = No, by 1.

Squirrel dude; If the ref spots the foul (doubles on either AV or injury roll) the coach gets a D6 opportunity to argue the call. On a [6] the Referee sends the player to the reserves box instead of banning him. On a [1] the player is banned for the match and so is the coach (no more argue calls are allowed on subsequent foul send-offs). on a [2],[3],[4] or [5] the player is still banned for the match and no consequence to the coach.

Great work squirrel.
I wonder if we can praise Squirrel as well as Nuffle to avoid sendings off.
