I have decided that watching replays is an excellent way to learn without having to sink a lot of time into a game.

Which coaches should I look to for particular racecs?

For example Purple Chest for Dwarves

Who should I look at for Wood Elf, Dark Elf or Skaven play? Thanks all

This is your friend.
My suggestions would be a) choose box, it can be manipulated but it probably happens less than in ranked. b) generally look for a coach with a significant number of games. Sometimes a coach gets to the top of the list off a small sample of games which is more likely to have a larger luck component. c) check the teams they use to look for vanilla teams e.g. my wood elves have mainly used a ST5 wardancer which is unlikely to be applicable to most situations whilst my skaven have had many normal players along the way.

Oh and also the tv range at which they have played to make sure it’s applicable to your situation.
Having said all this, in some ways I believe you are best just finding coaches who consistently appear at the top of these lists and watching their replays with ANY teams. There are some exceptions but generally I have found good blood bowl players are good with any race. And someone might be great who doesn’t appear high in these lists because they prioritise other things.

and keep in mind: fascinatingly there are (even at the top) different play styles possible...some might fit yours, some not so much, some may even be unaccessable.

For example, Kingvan is one of the best Vampire coaches on fumbbl, but whenever I spectate one of his game I just think wth is he doing, this is not safe...

by the way, it seems that the link Harad posted just includes coaches that played recently

Yes, the top rankings only list coaches who've played a game inside the last 4 months or so.

Harad's advice about just finding "good coaches" is probably best. I generally recommend Endzone's replays for anything, but the same could be said for a number of other coaches (eg. Strider84, Stonetroll, Morehouse to name but a few). At the end of the day, as Purplegoo is wont to say "bloodbowl is bloodbowl" - which is to mean, if someone can position really, really well, and understands the game, it will translate to just about every race they play.

For Wood Elves are a variety of TVs: Rawlf, Oventa, Strider84, Endzone, Spartako, Morehouse. That will give you a spread over low-very high tv, and NAF teams too.

For DE: Malmir, Bghandras, Reisender, Elyoukey, jimjo, kfoged, Purplegoo, Justicium.

Skaven: Azure, Reisender, Olivierdulac, Kaltenland, Tarabaralla.

I think Bazakastine is the best skaven player that's real active right now.
