I was never really clear on dodging against titchy opponents, when I talk with people they tell me that titchy players do not exert any tackle zones. But in the rules it clearly implies that you can move through titchy tackle zones without needing to dodge, but only moving out of the titchy players tackle zone altogether would require a dodge. Is this the way it's handled in FUMBBL? And also in TT?

For example, if you are sandwiched by two titchy players (TXT), X could move 1 sq straight up or straight down with no dodge, but a 1 sq move in any other direction would be a dodge with no modifiers?

They DO exert tacklezones, but their tacklezones don't give the -1 to dodging.

So in your example a dodge anywhere is on the same number (2+ with elf, 3+ with human etc)

Thanks, now I understand. Seems that the benefits of having titchy far outweigh the downsides. (since how often do opponents really take effective advantage of the lack of a -1 modifier, I suspect not that often)

Very much a mixed blessing.

For example, my dark elves laugh at snotlings when they dodge into their cage on a 2+ and 3d the ball carrier...

The downsides are there for titchy - they're St1 players which means 3D blocks against them Wink

Ah, right - didn't think about the spirit hosts. I'll add that my pixies really feel the sting of titchy. Constantly getting sacked if a giant can't be part of the cage corner. Diving tackle means nothing to most elves.

Titchy is dreadful. Yes your snots can sometimes wander through the opposition inbetween getting beaten. But crucially it means without diving tackle they can't do much of a screen or cage. On top of the fact you may have Ogres boneheaded.
Ag4 players in particular will take advantage of the lack of -1 (or more) modifier.

trying to cage with snots is like trying to cage with smurfs. Opposition just steps over them.

It's smurfing embarrassing.

Why Dodge when next to a Titchy opponent? Kick it in the face and follow up.

OK. Fine. I guess there are times it would be worth Dodging away.
But most of the time... just kick it in the face.
