So after the latest Mozilla Foundation Security Advisory 2019-13 - I am no longer able to directly launch games via a hyperlink. I only have the option of save/cancel for ffblive.jnlp. If I run it local I will connect to the game. Perhaps there is a security setting i'm missing? Any help would be appreciated, and details of the bug story are below:

CVE-2019-11696: Java web start .JNLP files are not recognized as executable files for download prompts

Reporter
Abdulrahman Alqabandi
Impact
moderate

Description

Files with the .JNLP extension used for "Java web start" applications are not treated as executable content for download prompts even though they can be executed if Java is installed on the local system. This could allow users to mistakenly launch an executable binary locally.

Did a little digging and answered my own question:

Under ->Options ->Applications:

ApplicationsChoose how Firefox handles the files you download from the web or the applications you use while browsing.

Select JNLP Files and change from "always ask" to "Use Java Web Launcher"
