Blackbox Trophy
Season 3
The blackbox trophy is a year long blackbox meta event. Coaches select a squad of 4 unique teams with a budget of 7 points with team costs as follows:
0 points: Goblin, Halfling, Ogre.
1 point: Vampire, Slann, Underworld Denizens.
2 points: Dark Elf, Elven Union, High Elf, Human, Khemri Tomb Kings, Norse, Chaos Renegades.
3 points: Other races. Max 2 of these teams are allowed in a squad.
The score is calculated based on the first 25 games with each team in the squad.
Scoring works as follows:
A win gives 1 point, a tie gives 0.5 points and a loss gives 0 points.
An additional 2.5 points are awarded per point of unused team budget.
Having a team with the highest points for that race awards 1.5 additional points.
A bonus of 0.5 points is given for every 5 games played per team.
Only one squad per coach and season is allowed. Coaches are expected to stick with their teams even through bad times. |

Last year, I set myself a target of 60 points, got 66. This year, I want to set myself a target that's an improvement from that. However, with only four teams in a squad, what actually is an improvement requires a bit of calculation.
If I wanted to get 70 points in the old system, every team would need to get a modified score (adding bonus points for more difficult teams) of 17, constisting of 3 bonus points and 14 wins. That would give 85 points total, minus 15 for the point limit makes 70.
So at the end of the run, on average I would like to see my lizards at 17 points, pro elf and khemri each at 14.5, and ogres at 9.5, for a total score of 55.5
I'm making that public now, let's see how close I'll get. |

Hmm. My target is to manage to play 100 BBT3 games, give my opponents fun and challenging games, and to have fun. If I manage all that, any points I get in excess of ten will be gravy. (And I'm eternally grateful that there's no virtual table flip, and no microphone pickups that I need to censor.) |

if you play a game in a Brawl against a Ranked team, does it could towards your 25 BBT games?
(I guess I'll find out soon)
while I'm at it, if you play a Brawl game against a Blackbox team, is the answer the same? |

Whoever starts the game first, sets if it's R game or B game.
Brawl against R team, just start the game early and send game name after. |

Thats why i called my box dark elf team "ah dark elves again"
Probably gonna need a 25/0/0 for the racial lead |

Im half way there! (Insert here mental tune of livin' on a prayer)
amazing run so far, lovely skill ups in my dark elf team, with 6 doubles, 1 +S and a deceased +S blitzer and +M blitzer.
Slann also have lost a +S blitzer and anything that attemts to replace him dies too
High elves are having a good time with a +M+S catcher
and Khemry saw a +Ag blitzer die and they have nothing epic yet, +M on a thrower is nice though.
overall about 76% winrrate, If I manage to keep it up I might make the top places!! |
