LRB5 WILL be here sooner or later (well, as soon as someone creates a LRB5 client anyway).
My biggest concern (and I suppose everybody's greatest concern bar a very tight minority) is HOW to manage the change from LRB 4 to 5 for current teams.
Keep them? retire them? How to manage the change of skills?
This, tbh, worries me a bit. |

I think the most sensible way would be to keep the skills that still exist (though their use would change in line with LRB 5.0), swap old skills to new where possible (e.g. Claw & RSClaw to "Claw", obviously give those with both a new skill choice), Grandfather any positionals no longer valid (i.e. can't buy replacements when they're dead/retired) and to amend the value of RRs already purchased (i.e. Amazon teams will increase in TR/TS).
I don't see migration to LRB 5.0 as a problem, only the coding  |

hmmmm i dont see the rsc as being a problem... lrb5 was meant to accomodate experienced teams into the league.
You could run a query to select all the teams with RSC, delete the skill and allow those players to have a skillroll, which is a double, in addition to any other skillrolls they already have
when lrb5 comes, it will be a while before teams will have lots of wrestle etc so it will give the older teams time to adapt and get more dauntless and stuff to cope with induced stars, Im not sure the TS rule will still be in effect as Inducements seem to be fairly balanced (reason TS was brought in was becasue TR and handicaps arent balanced!) |

The LRB 5 explains how to convert LRB 4 teams to LRB 5, but I think here the last word is to Christer  |

Actually I just wrote a whole new client in about 45 minutes. Just used the old LRB4 client and did a find feature to replace all references of "LRB4" with "LRB5". Presto chango, we got the new client.
Just that easy. |
