That might be the case in a division with only 1 or 2 relegations, but the WIL prem has a 50% team relegation chance.

no no I absolutely agree with you there, and I agree with Koadah - that just caping the fringe and the the bottom tier may be the way forward. 1500 for both. Above that it should be a free for all as intended by the rules creators.
I think this makes sense so teams can have a building season or two in the bottom divisions before being thrust into the mayhem that is the top two divisions.
Or alternately by using TV rather than TW, so you have to get rid of things of value like players as punishment for dropping divisions, rather than just buying RR and dropping them until you have no money left. This both fits in better with fluff and doesn't feel quite so crazy I know its just a game but it would seem silly to me for a football club to say quick lets get rid of all our money so we can play in the lower league rather than, lets get rid of our best players because we can no longer afford their wages etc... |

I don't like caps at all to be honest. But if there needs to be one then higher is better than lower. I would go with Grins suggestion

Well, there seem to be 4 very different thought, which include;
No Caps.
Cap only Bottom division
Have Caps of U / 225 / 175
Have Caps of U / 200 / 150
Perhaps there should be a private ballot or something, but for the record I am in the last camp of U / 200 / 150 |

Hang the Goo!.. though possibly burning at the stake might be more effective...
I prefer:
1) No caps
2) any caps must be TW
3) failing (1), caps only in bottom division
4) less than 50% relegation
I would be happy to join a division with a 2250TV monster in the entry (though I don't see that happening). |

TV+ Cash/10000 + TV of missing players = TW.
The site calculates TW automatically and presents it handily at the bottom of each team page.
I agree TW must be used rather than TV, otherwise people with 5 mng's will fit under cap nicely and then suddenly grow 400TV after first game.
tbh, i'm fairly open when it comes to the cap values, most likely i'd favour the unlimited/unlimited/1500 but wouldn't be too upset with unlimited/2000/1500. |

I think friendlies will take care of those, but for persistent offenders i vote they must name their next purchase afer PeteW and retire him as soon as he earns any spp.  |
