And have an early game against the Bruisers and then a another against the Irish to thank for that (thanks, guys!), two teams that don't play each other until season's end. And the division #2 Buff-a-elfs play the Bruisers next...

The season ain't over 'til it's over. Texas may have only 1 win, but if you take a close look it's against league leader CSM. Lots of Bloodbowl still to be played!

The RFAdvantage Rankings
RFA rankings are here, and we know some guys on your teams have literally died to see them!

The RFAdavantage . The MOST accurate team ranker by week!

1. AF 7-0-0 (.955) Last week rank #1
~ The are all but a lock for a shot at back to back with the #2 and #3 teams losing this past week. While they dont need the win this week, Hawaii could be a very real threat to stop their perfect season.
+9 TD +9 casualties (+18 net) #6 Hawaii next week (RFA Projected Best Match of the week, don't miss this one)

2. Cali 4-2-1 (.768) Last week rank #4
~ Holy fuggazi, can the Golden Showers really have a shot at playing for the national title again this year. While they are miserable in every other bowl, they are perfect in the National title game.
+1 TD +4 casualties (+5 net) #26 HSU next week

3. Missou 4-1-2 (.730) Last week rank #6
~ Get over it, yer number 3 and lucky to be that high. Yeah the RFA slights you, we know, get over it... (we actually have a negative modifier for anyone from this backwater hick-town)
+4 TD -7 casualties (-3 net) #10 Vampy next week

4. Clemson 2-1-1 (.709) Last week rank #11
~ A giant leap for the terrors who are thriving in a mediocre NCBB. The could be tested by the surgin Ohio team next week
+1 TD +10 casualties (+11 net) #13 Ohio next week

5. BK 3-3-1 (.694) Last week rank #7
~ The Knights may want to try fo a title shot in what has been declared their last season, do they have it in them? This could be fun to watch folks.
+5 TD +0 casualties (+5 net) #7 Oregon next week (RFA #2 Projected Match of the week, don't miss this one)

6. Hawaii 4-0-3 (.688) Last week rank #8
~ Hawaii keeps in the hunt with the expected win vs Fresno, but is outside hopin for a miracle at this piont.
+6 TD -2 casualties. (+4 net) #1 AF next week

7. Oregon Waterfoul 4-0-3 (.687) Last week rank #2
~ The Ducks drop painfully and have seen just about every hope of returning to the title game evaporate with last week's loss.
+3 TD -5 casualties (-2 net) #5 BK next week

8. Oregon State 3-2-2 (.683) Last week rank #3
~ The Bereavers let a golden opportunity slip thru their rotting fingers last week. When they could have been the undisputed #2 team they are instead doing time with the middle rank teams and will likely be watching the game to award the crystal ball.
+3 TD +3casualties(+6 net) #20 Nevada next week

9. U.Con. 2-3-2 (.644) Last week rank #5
~ U.Con. is now on the cusp of being bowl ineligible, a win this week vs. AZ would lock them into a bowl game, but a loss or tie could see them scrambling to qualify in the final week.
-2 TD +9 casualties (+7 net) #14 AZ next

10. Vampy 2-3-2 (.633) Last week rank #16
~ The suckers proved their fortitude by beating UCon last week and are currently bowl eligible if the season ended today. Likely the Commonthralls wont like being ranked behind the Con. team they just beat, but they have a combined -10 cas/td differential.
+0 TD -10 casualties (-10 net) #3 Missou next week

11. CSM 4-2-1 (.628) Last week rank #12
~ The Gore Diggers pick up a spot and become the #1 non-AQ team in the RFA this week. Should they win out they will almost definitely break into the top 10.
+3 TD +0 casualties(+3 net) #16 Kent next week

12. Florida 2-2-0 (.624) Last week rank #19
~ Florida remains unbeaten and is a solid contender for a bowl game this season. With only two games left, another non-loss will just about guarantee a bowl berth.
+2 TD +9 casualties (+11 net) #22 ND next week

13. Ohio 2-2-3 (.600) Last week rank #20
~ Will Ohio play the rollercoaster as well as navy used to, or is this their return to respectability? They still need a win and a win/tie in their last two matches to qualify for bowl consideration.
+1 TD +4 casualties (+5 net) #4 Clemson next week

14. AZ GGW 2-2-3 (.588) Last week rank #10
~ The girls are up against a wall now, with only two weeks left and 3 losses, they need to find a way to win just in order to qualify for the bowl games. They find themselves in the same situation as rising Ohio.
- TD +6 casualties (+5 net) #9 UCon next week

15 Colorado 4-1-2 (.561) Last week rank #9
~ Not showing up for a match will always hurt your ranking. Doing so without a note from your mother will usually weigh in even worse.
+2 TD -3 casualties (-1 net) #18 UCLA next week

16. Kent 3-2-2 (.561) Last week rank #13
~ The Staches slip three spots but are within fractions of a point of 15. A win vs CSM this week would catapult them back up in the standings we believe.
+3 TD -2 casualties (+1 net) #11 CSM next week

17. Santa Cruz 3-2-2 (.557) Last week rank #18
~ The Slugs needed a win to really make that breakthrough but only ended up with a tie. While still bowl eligible, they need to prove their mettle before being a solid mid rank team.
+2 TD -8 casualties (-6 net) #21 Nippon next week

18. UCLA 2-3-2 (.549) Last week rank #14
~ The Bruisers lost a second match and 4 points in the standings with it. They no longer stand at the head of the non-AQ but are now mixed into the middle of the pack fighting for recognition.
-1 TD +12 casualties (+11 net) #15 Colorado next week

19. Fresno 1-3-3 (.549) Last week rank #15
~ Fresno continues their slide with another loss this week. They will need to win out just to be bowl eligible, however their three ties and a win will likely ensure they avoid the McNurgle's.
-3 TD +2 casualties (-1 net) #24 Navy next week

20. Nevada 2-1-4 (.535) Last week rank #17
~ The Wolfpack are officially not going to a bowl game this season. And to look back, some preseason polls had the running longhairs as their #3 overall pick.
-6 TD +0casualties (-6 net) #8 Or.State next week

21. Nippon 2-3-2 (.521) Last week rank #22
~ The Nipponese secure a second win and give rise to the hopes of finishing out with a pair of wins and a bowl invite possibility.
+0 TD -14 casualties (-14 net) #17 Santa Cruz next week

22. Notre Dame 1-4-2 (.500) Last week rank #21
~ The Irish continue to "fuzzle" and languish in the basement of the NCBB. However this is not something that bothers them as much as you might think. The Gogres have LARGE stores of kehgs to be found, and we suspect the Irish may be into them.
+0 TD +17 casualties (+17 net) # 12 Florida next week

23. Texas 1-3-3 (.456) Last week rank #24
~ The Ags did improve their casualty differential this past week, but at this point their only shot at a bowl game is the dreaded McNurgles
-3 TD -14 casualties (-17 net) #20 S. Florida next week

24. Navy 1-1-5 (.445) Last week rank #23
~ HAHHAHAHAHA what were we thinking that Navy might push AF, they would likely have a hard time beating the famed imperfect Gogres of '09. This past week the Midskele's were able to lock up the worst combined differential in the NCBB
-9 TD -9 casualties (-18 net) #19 Fresno next loss

25. S. Florida 1-2-4 (.426) Last week rank #26
~ The cockroaches shot out of the basement like their namesakes leaving a room when the lights come on. Last week's tie puts them into the loft 2nd to last place.
-4 TD +3 casualties (-1 net) #23 Texas next week

26. HSU 1-0-5 (.406) Last week rank #25
~ The Jacks find themselves in sole ownership of last place and likely dubious honors of wearing home team colors at the McNurgles. Luckily they have a super weak #2 Cali team to help boost their ranking this coming week.
-6 TD -9 casualties (-15 net) #2 Cali next week

Rocketing up in the standings this week:

Clemson - up 7
Florida - up 7
Ohio - up 7
Vampy - up 6

Dropping like a stone this week:

Colorado - down 6
Oregon - down 5
Or. State - down 5
UCon - down 4
UCLA - down 4
Fresno - down 4
AZ - down 4

And yet, while ranked 23rd overall (and 9th out of 10 in the NCBB non-AQ division), they beat #1 in division/#15 overall CSM (CSM's only loss!), and tied #'s 16 & 17 Kent State and Santa Cruz (2nd in Division), and their loss to UCLA had some very extreme dice rolls to provide that 2:1 final score.

And this reporter has witnessed several of the other games in the NCBB thrown by some of best Nuffle-spun randomness this side of the Royal Rookie Rumble!

Not that Texas deserves much better than McNurgles with this season's performance (management was muttering about sacking Smeat, but the rumour is he has photos of them with a goat - all of them, one goat - so he'll be back next season), but there's more to reading and predicting the NCBB than the W/L record.

The bowl games should be worth watching - you may have paid for the whole seat, but you'll only want the edge (cuz who knows who sat there last!).

THE Ohio State Drunkguys are 0-2-0, lifetime, vs. Navy (1-1 & a riveting 0-0 match). That should negate any feelings of accomplishment by any school that's ever defeated us, and it should make any school we actually *beat* feel even worse...

When are the next polls coming out? If there's justice, Vampy will have climbed from #16 to #2 in just 3 weeks? Is that an NCBB record? It's certainly useful with bowl season coming up.

The RFAdvantage Rankings
RFA rankings are here, this is the last weekly ranking before our bowl prediction release!

The RFAdavantage . The MOST accurate team ranker by week!

1. AF 7-1-0 (.900) Last week rank #1
~ Having ruined their perfect season with last week's forfeit tie, the Baalkins are destined to return and attempt to defend their national title again this season.
+9 TD +9 casualties (+18 net) #11 UCon next week

2. Cali 4-3-1 (.748) Last week rank #2
~ The golden shower that is California sees themselves again at #2, however last weeks tie leaves their #2 status as challengeable in the final week.
+1 TD +5 casualties (+6 net) #17 Nevada next week

3. Oregon Waterfoul 5-0-3 (.720) Last week rank #7
~ The Ducks return to contention winning when most the other top teams were losing or scraping together a tie. They could definitely garner support for a national title bid with another win in the final week.

~ The terrors were tested and found wanting by a tough Ohio team. While unable to win, Clemson retained the #4 spot with a tie.

+1 TD -10 casualties (-9 net) #25 Navy next week

7. Oregon State 3-3-2 (.668) Last week rank #8

+2 TD +1 casualties(+3 net) #24 HSU next week

8. Hawaii 4-1-3 (.668) Last week rank #6

+4 TD +1 casualties (+5 net) #4 Clemson next week

11. U.Con. 2-4-2 (.641) Last week rank #9
~ U.Con. can't seem to win when they need to. As their record shows they have only won twice this season, although they have only lost twice this season. They will be playing for an auto-invite against AF in the final week.
-2 TD +11 casualties (+9 net) #1 AF next

12. Ohio 2-3-3 (.605) Last week rank #13

+1 TD +4 casualties (+5 net) #3 Oregon next week

18. Nippon 3-3-2 (.521) Last week rank #21

+1 TD -13 casualties (-12 net) #23 Texas next week

19. Kent 3-2-3 (.525) Last week rank #16

22. Notre Dame 1-5-2 (.503) Last week rank #22
~ The Irish continue to "fuzzle" and languish in the basement of the NCBB. Really not much has changed for this lackluster team. They can still manage a .500 record if they can win in the final week and possibly qualify for a bowl game.
+0 TD +16 casualties (+16 net) # 16 UCLA next week

23. Texas 1-4-3 (.452) Last week rank #23
~ The Ags hold solid at #23, not really somewhere any team would want to hang out, but better than dropping into the McNurgle's qualifiers.
-3 TD -14 casualties (-17 net) #18 Nippon next week

24. HSU 1-1-6 (.437) Last week rank #26
~ The Jacks big tie vs Cali jumped them out of the basement, but will likely still qualify for the McNurgle's.
-6 TD -10 casualties (-16 net) #7 OregonState next week

25. Navy 1-1-6 (.430) Last week rank #24

-11 TD -10 casualties (-21 net) #6 Vampy next loss

26. S. Florida 1-3-4 (.426) Last week rank #25
~ The cockroaches dropped back to last place again this week, but can they pull out a big win to jump out of the basement? The matchup looks favorable in the final week.

Hey Sportsfans!

Howie Duyn here with one of the basement battles, as teams try to avoid the NCBB toilet bowl, and Nippon and Texas met in their last scheduled match up this season.

Gotta give Respect to Coach Lorebass - Texas was up 2-0 shortly into the 2nd half and looking golden, elf-ballin' like fiends, dice loving the elfs and spitting at the lizards, and the Lizard's coach was understandably, justifiably and vocally depressed. We could hear him up here in the news-booth - ooooh-wee! Language - you kiss your baby with that mouth?

But Nippon had also knocked 3 key Texas players out of the game while taking no losses of their own, and 2nd half the coach stayed focused and came back with a vengeance, receiving to score quickly and then making a surprise 1-d blitz to knock the ball free and then win it for the tie - with enough time that he had to decide to stall to guarantee Texas had no last minute chance.

I tell ya, at the end there the lizards were all over the elves like stink on dead meat!

Texas needed to win to have a chance to go .500 and maybe - possibly? - get to a bowl game - but no luck for the freshman squad, as they suffer yet another heartbreaker.

//////////////////////////////////

So... how exactly does this "McNurgles" thing work? (And does it count as a "bowl" game for hiring new players?) :/

RFAdvantage Bowl Predictions!

BCS Title GameImage
#1 AF 8-1-0 (.939) #7 toughest schedule with a .833 factorial (1.0 being the hardest schedule - 0.0 being the easiest schedule)
+10 TD +11 casualties (+21 net)
~ AF ran through the competition this season, dicing and bashing their way to a near perfect record. For the second season in a row they had the 7th toughest SoS.
vs.
#2 Cali 5-3-1 (.759) #15 ranked schedule with a .587 factorial
+2 TD +3 casualties (+5 net)
~ The Saurs are the only thing that might stand between the Baalkins and the first ever back to back title. Even with their weaker schedule, than say Missou, they did avoid two more losses than the Two-headers.

Airforce has the ability to ball well above their expectations, and enough hard bodies to tie Cali up. Every advantage Cali brings to the table is well countered by AF. This will likely be a 2:1 win in favor of the firse ever national title repeat.

Rose BowlImage
#3 Missou 5-1-3 (.753) #2 ranked schedule with a .913 factorial
+3 TD +4 casualties (+ net)
~ A Duck / Tiger matchup would be make for one of the highest rated bowl games in NCBB history. Two storied and vaunted offenses going at it in a top-flight bowl game.
vs.
#4 Oregon 5-1-3 (.743) #5 ranked schedule with a .840 factorial
+3 TD -7 casualties (-4 net)
~ The Ducks will miss out on a shot at another national title and likely find themselves hoping for a Rose Bowl invite.

The Ducks will lay some landmines and when missou slips on what seems to be an easy play, prove that Admin Hacks defeat Chinese Dice Hacks in the end 3:2.

DeadEx Orange BowlImage
#5 Vampy 4-3-2 (.735) #8 ranked schedule with a .813 factorial
+2 TD -10 casualties (-8 net)
~ The commonthralls muscle their way into the DeadEx Bowl and will be one half of this seasons actual undead bowl wearing home colors against...
vs.
#6 Oregon State 4-3-2 (.720) #11 ranked schedule with a .733 factorial
+3 TD +5 casualties (+8 net)
~ The Bereavers finished with a 4-3-2 for the third season in a row and again are likely . not terribly happy with the results. They are yet again recommended for the Orange bowl. They did improve their schedule this season after carrying the easiest schedule of all NCBB last year.

The Commonthralls will gaze their way to a 2:0 lead until a late score by Oregon State makes it 2:1.

Tossit-os Fiesta BowlImage
#7 Clemson 3-2-1 (.702) #20 ranked schedule with a .427 factorial
+3 TD +16 casualties (+19 net)
~ The Terrors inherited a SoS that would make most high-school programs look good and looked good against it. The schedule will however drag them just out of reach of the DeadEx invite they so desperately wanted.
vs.
#9 AZ 3-3-3 (.660) #10 ranked schedule with a .787 factorial
+3 TD +6 casualties (+9 net)
~ The chicks end up in what is likely their favorite bowl, any time they can party is a good time by them. Not to mention the plethora of bones that will be surrounding them, expect them to enjoy themselves immensely.

Insert your puns here, as everything else will likely be inserted into the AZ girls. Clemson 1:0 AZ.

Killer Lite BowlImage
#10 Black Knights 3-3-3 (.649) #6 ranked schedule with a .840 factorial
+2 TD -5 casualties (-3 net)
~ The Black Knights will be in the Killer lite bowh and this season we can expect it to be "lite" as the Knights have already been killed, there's not much left to beat on or with.
vs.
#12 Hawaii 4-1-4 (.647) #12 ranked schedule with a .733 factorial
+5 TD -6 casualties (-1 net)
~ Hawaii will be happy just to get a bowl invite, and even happier to see the beaten up Knights across the pitch.

Hawaii takes advantage of the injured Knights to the tune of a 2:0 bowl trophy.

Wonderbra BowlImage
#14 CSM 5-2-2 (.586) #17 ranked schedule with a .487 factorial
+5 TD +1 casualties (+6 net)
~ The Diggers will be happy to be invited to a bowl game but will have little to do with the festivities as three of their players actually use Wonderbra, but are ashamed to admit it.
vs.
#15 Florida 3-3-0 (.540) #26 ranked schedule with a .033 factorial
+4 TD +11 casualties (+15 net)
~ Florida looked good and going without a loss is impressive but doing it against the easiest schedule ever seen in the NCBB pulls them well down in the standings.

Florida again proves that they weren't just a product of the schedule and defeat CSM in OT 2:1 in a thriller.

Planter's Goober BowlImage
#8 UCon 2-4-3 (.665) #1 ranked schedule with a .973 factorial
-3 TD +9 casualties (+6 net)
~ The Convicts are rotting away, having suffered career ending injuries to their top players early in the season and working for a second season with freshmen and sophomores. Their brutal strength of schedule kept them with a decent ranking in spite of their lack of wins.
vs.
#11 Ohio 2-4-3 (.648) #3 ranked schedule with a .867 factorial
+1 TD +4 casualties (+5 net)
~ The Drunkguys had a gogre scheduling their season and ended up with one of the three hardest schedules in the nation. Their lack of wins is offset by this brutal schedule to leave them as a team ranked above the fold.

Seriously, looking at these guys we predict a coinflip that locks the client and ends with the game being declared yet another draw 2:2.

McNurgle's BowlImage
#2nd to last Navy 1-1-7 (.449) #9 ranked schedule with a .793 factorial
-12 TD -10 casualties (-22 net)
~ Navy is likely going to consider it a marginal step in the right direction not to be considered the worst team in the nation. Their SoS pushed them just above HSU in the final rankings.
vs.
#Last HSU 1-1-7 (.441) #13 ranked schedule with a .720 factorial
-7 TD -14 casualties (-21 net)
~ The Jacks are a persevering team, and one can only admire that, here's to hoping that both Navy and the Jacks can avoid the McNurgle's next season.

As we have said before, there are no winners in the McNurgle’s, just two losers wallowing in the mud

Teams not referenced:
Fresno #13 (.610): losing record 2-3-4 (#4 SoS .853)
Nevada #16 (.539): losing record 2-2-5 (#14 SoS .693)
UCLA #17 (.564): non-AQ 3-3-3 (#16 SoS .560)
Notre Dame #16 (.511): non-AQ 2-5-2 (#19 SoS .467)
Kent #18 (.498): non-AQ 3-3-3 (#18 SoS .487)
Nippon #19 (.485) non-AQ 3-4-2 (#25 SoS .280)
Texas #23 (.424) losing record 1-5-3 (#21 SoS .420)
South Florida #25 losing record 1-4-4 (#22 SoS .420)
Santa Cruz - MIA
Colorado - MIA

The RFA would like to recommend for the second time starting a "Fael Cup Challenge" a King of the hill tourney for those teams left out of the bowl games, or even a 3 round Swiss (the only undebeated team will be the "Fale Champ" . (8 teams not bowl invited! That's a great number!)

So... how exactly does this "McNurgles" thing work? (And does it count as a "bowl" game for hiring new players?) :/

Anyone you buy for ANY bowl game is automatically Red-Shirted and will play as a freshman next season. McNurgle's is included
