Maybe it would be a better approach to put them on the roster page, too, as the custom player portraits already are. |

Hello!
after reading this thread I wanted to give one of my teams some special icons for special players but I just cant get it to work  .
Here is what I did:
- Made two icons using photoshop: kmthrower3.gif and kmthrower3an
- Saved four files in pics/custom: the above two and one of each with the "b" and "ban" in the end.
- Added the following at the end of the icons.ini:
[Players]
THE ROTTEN WODDIE III=custom/kmthrower3.gif
This is the player: <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=4643132">The Rotten Woddie III</a> |

I dont know if this works, but try the folder: pics/icons/custom for this two files. |

Sorry, just wrote the wrong folder in my post before. I actualy used the folder: pics/icons/custom 
And I saved four files there (the "b" and "ban" files). |

I testet a bit and saw, that it dont works, when your write it in small letters.

I dont understand you. There are 363 italian coaches at fumbbl.com. Perhaps one of them can help you translating from italian to english. |

The file-name for this icons get additional "an" at the end.
Like
Blitzer1.gif (this is the normal red blitzer)
Blitzer1an.gif (this is the red blitzer turned sideway)
Blitzer1b.gif (this is the normal blue blitzer)
Blitzer1ban.gif (this is the blue blitzer turned sideway) |

Only problem I see is that they'd have to be quite strictly moderated so that the icons uploaded does represent the actual positions in a good way.
Perhaps make the icons strictly available to only the race they represent. Could be quite hard to moderate, but if it wasn't moderated, we'd end up with a lot of silly icons that noone could tell what they were.. |

I like that idea, it's more fun when your opponent can see the custom icons 
Ofc, the custom icons would have to be moderated (they could be abused) so I dont know ... |

Look at my profile and you will see plenty of icons... 
And on most of the iconfied teams i already did it in a way that you can see the icon in the yearbook.
