I was fortunate to have met him a couple of times. I'll never forget his sense of humor, nor his horrible fashion sense (For goodness sake man, Hot pink flip-flops!?).

i clearly remember the christmas of 1980 when i got my first DnD basic set.
i was 6 years old.
that winter my cousin and i and my friends down the street
tried as we could to figure things out.
we were pretty dumb so we made up our own rules.
that was pretty much the foundations of my life, right there.

It's not just roleplaying games. He was one of the pioneers of tabletop strategy gaming as well, which leads us to things like Warhammer and, eventually, Bloodbowl. |

That is true. He taught me about the bell curve also. Not just influencing RPGs but all dice related games as well. |
