George, Paul, John, and Ringo! Smile

Seriously, if you are new, don't start with Ogres.

Hopefully I am the first to say Welcome to Fumbbl!

I was going to save this for my ogre team, but I think sharing with a noob is a better idea.

First of all, welcome to the best place for BB online!
Saw your team, I advise you to take a look here for the best starting rosters. 3 RRs and an apo to start with means a lot less strength in the beginning...

One weakness of ogre teams is that theres only really one semi-decent starting roster:
-5 ogres
-6 goblins
-FF9
-re-roll
-apoth if you're lucky, dont think so though

then you just play and hope Smile

I hate that name generator - for those of you that remember 2nd edition BloodBowl (from the late 80's), the Ogre names were virtually unpronounceable, along the lines of M'Gorg'n'Throg, for example (That was one of the old Ogre Star Players, or very similar).

They often had a nickname too - Morg'n'Thorg was 'The Ballista'.

With these guidelines in mind, I named my most recent Ogre
Hurk'h "Hammer" Thorg'rund

Just think of any sounds that are grunting or guttural, and write them down Smile

Try looking up weird words in German and piecing them together for monstrous names. I named an Orge on my human team "Ungeheuer" which just sounds ugly, and I believe it means something along the lines of giant monstrosity.

http://english.german-dictionary.net/dict.cgi?query=ungeheuer&plang=en&db=tuc&lang=0 You can play around with that dictionary just looking up words you think might describe ogres (ugly, scary, grotesque, etc) and see if anything that sounds interesting comes up.

EDIT: Sumpfstrolch = Swamp Thug! That might be a good one.

Particularly in 2nd edition as Colin pointed out ogre names followed a sort of pattern.

M'......... n' .....(k) (optional)

However I feel if you look at the coach pictures on site, you may get a totally different feeling on naming them!
