having played the board game and only spectated a few games I was just wondering if you still have the special play cards in fummbl or has this been replaced? - there used to be the handicap system to try and balance out the matches when you were against a team with high team rating.
not something I been able to spot on the games i've watched.

FUMBBL uses LRB4.0, no cards but we do have handicaps: http://fumbbl.com/help:Handicaps

I miss the cards, although I don't miss BURST BALL being played on me! There were game winning cards there, but that added to the fun imo!

The "BLITZ" and "Grudge match" cards of 3. ed were amazing!

I miss beating the crap out of someone in the bloodweiser final and robbing them during the post match.

no cards was the biggest let down of 5th ed. rules, but as I understand it, they couldn't mass produce them at the time.

they added an extra dimension to the game i think although there were some irritating cards in there - burst ball, peeked were the ones i remember as being the most annoying

I didn't like the cards. But apparently they are making a comeback. There are lots of things that need tidying, cheerleaders, freebooters etc. Right now they're not really viable for most teams.
