Could someone point me to a site that explains the universe where Blood Bowl takes place? I would like to read up on some of the races and the alliances.

It's akin to the Warhammer fantasy battle world, but with some very notable exceptions, one being that instead of open war, the races in the Blood Bowl war get along enough to play sports (albeit a very violent sport) together. There's still wars 'n' stuff (indeed, the rediscovery of the ancient game of Blood Bowl happened during a war). To see what races ally up, take a look at the Chaos Pact team for the evil ones, the Old World and to a lesser degree Lustrian teams for the good guys. Dark Elves hate High Elves (naturally) and vice versa, Dwarves hate elves, orcs and goblins as well as anyone who insults them, Chaos people are insane and thus hate everyone, humans get along with most races, since they are very diverse... Let's see, Lizardmen are reptiles and not really into all that emotion stuff... Let's see if I've forgotten anyone.. Oh yeah, Wood Elves hate everyone who invades their forests and love tights, Halflings just love food, and everyone hates Skaven, who in turn hate everyone else (they see themselves as superior to all other races)... The undead are, well, evil but also sort of devoid of emotion, Ogres and the other Big Guys don't care too much about other races except for employment or food (or a mix thereof)... Hmmm, I think that was it... Probably forgot someone, of well yes there's the Chaos Dwarves, who are evil gits too (sort of goes without saying... just look at their beards, anyone who'd do that to themselves are bound to be some twisted muthaf_ckas).. Hmm... That's more or less it, for a very general description.. If this is complete drivel, I don't give a damn since I was bored..

I went to the Gameworkshop site and found some info. But could someone elaborate on the Amazons, Norse (and why those 2 are in the Lustrian alliance, amazon and norse simply doesn't fit well at first glance) and the Nurgle things? Also, what's the diff between the undeads and the Khemri? Thanks.

Well Amazons are a Norse offshoot. I don't know the whole story but while the men stayed in the North, some of the women colonized in Lustria.

Nurgle is one of the Gods of Chaos, specializing in disease and general ickiness. Basically the Nurgle are a flavor of Chaos. There are similar BloodBowl roster variants for the many different Skaven clans, but they have yet to gain official experimental status and be added to dX here.

Ok... the Norse established a colony in Lustria, the name of which I used to know but can't remember at the moment. Therefore the norse are there. I'm not exactly certain, but I think the amazons are the women from said colony, who at some point moved away from their menfolk, and established their own society. Once in a while they meet up with the men and do what's necessary, and then the boys are delivered to the men while the girls are taken in by the Amazons. But that might be wrong, anyway that's why the amazons are there. Nurgle's rotters are a part of the Chaos "race", being humans (I think, maybe other races too) who have been horribly mutated/changed by the God of Disease, Nurgle. Basically these guys are oversized, walking bacteria. Really gross! Undead are (maybe!) on the way out, but the traditional undead are awoken by Necromancers, and consists of Zombies, Ghouls 'n' stuff, while the Khemri are like ancient egyptian kings and their armies awoken my Liche-priests or something. Both are undead, but I think Khemri are a bit more organized, overall, than other Undead who are raised by individual Necromancers or Vampires... Basically, Khemri live by themselves in their own country far to the south, while the other Undead operate within (mostly) human lands... Hope that helps..

The blood bowl teams are loosly based on the warhammer armies.

In warhammer there used to be one undead army... "Undead". as such Blood Bowl has a team caled Undead

There was a split and now there are 2 undead armies "tomb Kings of Khemri" whcih has an egyptian flavour.. ie mummies and stuff and "Vampire Counts": which has a Tranylvanian undead flavour, vampires, zombies etc.

so that explains the vampire counts and tomb kings team. Te Necromantic team delves into the third flavour the "gothic horror" Frankenstein's monster, werewolves etc. Granted there isn't a warhammer fantasy army focused exclusively on gothic horror but the vampire counts army does contain elements.

Hmm, norse ain't just there, they are like... well to say it short, they live one a frozen tundra right next to chaos country and live as normads. I think it say alot that chaos don't wanna go there (time spent vs the little gained from that sux ass area) and humans fear norse becouse they are kinfa insane, bb terms (4x frenzy) norse are way too ZyCo for anyone to like em.
