Use the URL tags.
URL text

so just write the link and text inside the URL tags:
"square bracket" URL = http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=393050 "Close square Bracket" Text for the link "Square bracket" /URL "Close square bracket"

Square brackets are "[ or ]"

Hope that helps.

Well, I'm obviously doing something wrong, as I get this:

Son of the original {URL=http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=190945}Weeping Sore{/URL}.

In the bio (with the { replaced by [ ), but it works here.

Son of the original Weeping Sore.

Replace the part between " and " with the address you want to go to, and replace the part between > and < with the text you want the link to display as.
