We're up and running with the fun and exciting wonderful OFL!
Welcome to the OFL - the Old World Football League. We use a NFL-style tournamentform and combine this with a RP-like feel by trying to connect our league to the Old World by naming teams and players in the spirit of GW.
The league is meant to be for GMT+1, but if you're close to that, just apply...
There are a few criteria for the teams omitted into the OFL. The teams applying will have to be:
-entirely new
-named relating to some OLd World location (or a would-be OLd World location) and have its last name in the spirit of the NFL.
-including players with sensible and RP-like names...so we can produce thrustworthy legends.
-It would be nice if the teams were to become as detailed as possible, player histories, logos for teams, serious pics for players etc...
-teams should be [T], only some races are accepted (see below under PS) and teams can only play in OFL-games. meaning that u cannot have played any games when you apply, and that u cant play ANY games apart from the scheduled tournamentgames in the OFL...
This will be an actively run and managed full service tournament. Awards will be awarded to coaches for fabulous role-playing and going the extra mile in character.

PPPS There will be setup a homepage courtesy of the OFL some time during december...working on it. Features would be news, statistics, stories, standings, "battlereports" and so forth. Could use a little help at updating it in the future Lets try to get a really feely tourney out of this

Its NOT themed Bb that I need - theres absolutely no RP-flavor to that! When teams are called "Bunnies" fx, then it isnt my league...nice try though  |

There have been other NFL-type/themed tournaments before (and perhaps even some still exist in Fumbbl right now), but regardless it's not a bad idea. Kind of a fruitless post on Candlejacks part.
I might create a team and join in the morning (it's getting late and i'm just roaming the forums before I goto sleep). |

Hi again.
Ive found the name for the conferences: the OBC (Oceanic Bowling Conference) anf the IBC (Inland Bowling Conference), also Ive found the name for the Grand Final of each OFL season - tada: the IncrediBowl (TM)

Of course I post in here too, but RAimius is one of his kind I made a coach-thread too, but I can understand that noone is using when we're still just 10 teams or so... |
