I would prefer to have the statline below the picture (instead of above) so it is close to the skill list of the player and one can get an overview of the player in a glance.

I would like to suggest something about stateline too, actually I guess should be better if the stats changement were more visible. For instance, instead of to put a colored circle over it, to color directly the stat maybe using different colors like:
gold +2
silver or green +1
black 0
orange or yellow -1
red -2
