I would love to have the option to hear the spectators, but mute all other sounds,
as I feel the spectator sounds add to the experience, but can't stand the other sounds.

On a slightly more serious note: Good idea. I sometimes like to have music going in the background and many of the basic sounds - movement, blocking - interfere with that. Spec.sounds are always nice though, and I would also like to have injuries active.

+1 I hate all the sounds too but like it when you hear the spectators booing cheering etc...

Agreed. Maybe an alternative would be to have spectator sounds appear in the chat: *cheer*, *boring* etc.

I would be happy to hear: "/we hates you" as additional specs sound, "/we loves you" maybe too Very Happy
I mean, when i hear /boo during my great action then it's totally sucks sound, the same as /cheer when my player is failing on a dodge.
It would be cool sounds for the haters.

I have had an idea to code separate volume-bars for different categories in the client.
My thought was: Steps, Spectators, soundeffects, notation
In the notation it would be the popup sound and the end turn sound. Of course all would come with a tickbox to mute them to.

Would this be a good feature?
I could imagine some would like to have the notations quite high, turn off the soundeffects and steps and have the spectators quite low.
Other configurations is also viable, i know i would turn down the step-sounds more than the other soundeffects.

I always play without sounds and would like to see the spectator sounds in chat just like with the old client.

Great idea Lakrillo. I would like to turn some sounds down (like moving), but not others.

Also, the new foul sound is way too quiet.

I find the /boring command very boring.

But onto the real issue with the sounds in the client.

Can we have some umpf! put back into the sound when a player gets fouled? Right now it sounds like a muffled wimp kick and not a massive skull breaking kick of awesomeness that it should be. I'm sure Nuffle is shaking his head with sadness and only reluctantly agrees to break armor because of that sound alone.

edit: is there any reason we can't use the sound from the old client?
