I was reading through some match reports today and found, to my dismay, a number of instances of 'english language brutality.' I wondered if this was a) an indicator of the age of the coach, or b) a general indicator of the coach's lack of understanding (or concern) of the english language. Some examples are in order:

<sarcasm>
I was reading through the list of coaches and their nationalities and found, surprisingly enough, that we have quite alot of coaches who don't have english as their first language. I wondered if this was the reason for the occasional grammatical errors on team and player names.

no no, instead I think there should be a language test on signing up for the site. If you fail it, you can't sign up and your IP and email is banned for a year. Then you can try signing up again.

I'm joking, if you should be in doubt.

I´m with MixX, so all non british, americans or aussies go home, go play at your homes, because this site is only for pure english speakers, and for high elf coaches, hail severian, leader of the 4º reich.

Please forgive me, but also understand my post wasn't said with loathing or scorn.

Actually I think some of my fellow American coaches are amongst the worst of the bunch. Smile I'm right with you, Severian. It drives me nuts sometimes.

English is not the mother language of all the world !

The majority of fummbl players are not americans or british !

Do you speak another language other than english. I think not.

And if you speak another language, I want to see you speak.

Course it can be that the original names are taken, such as I have had to add a few random letters/symbols. But in actual fact alot of the bad spelling i have noticed is written by English people/speakers, is just a fact of modern day. And calm Alb keep your nickers on, as he explained it wasnt anything personal.

So keep it cool guys, still better language than ive seen in many games.

Look here...I want you all to recognize the following. That

1) I was assuming those individuals were English speaking, and
2) If you're NOT a native English speaker than my comment doesn't even apply to you!

Don't get your panties in a bunch about it! I was talking about native english speakers but I didn't clarify that with my first post. I apologize.
