I went through it a bit.
1-49 legend
50-265 super star
266-485 star
486- ~700 emerging star
after that veteran, experienced and rookie.

Amount of games played seems to have effect too. Found few cases where the title is
step lower than others around it because of low number of games.
So those values above are not accurate neccessarily.
Also new players with cr 150 seems to be always rookie, and somebody with games played and < 150 cr is considered experienced.

Interesting. Would like to know the precise system from Christer, but I guess he likes watching us trying to figure it out by ourselves. Wink

I played ~80 ranked games, have a CR <150 and I'm considered a rookie...

Am I the only one who thinks those rank names are a tad on the optimistic side?

I realize it may be out of necessity, as they seem to copy player ranks, but the 'star' and 'super star' ranges seem to start pretty early (and i'm not really comfortable with a rank beyond 'veteran').

The ranks are roughly based on the CRs of active coaches (ie, players who played at least one game relatively recently). The first 6 ranks (Rookie through Super Star) all have around 16% of the total number of coaches. The 7th rank (Legend) has the top 4% or so coaches in it.

Players with less than 5 ranked games played are automatically Rookies, and you need 10 games or more to go beyond experienced.

Your rank will only change after playing a ranked game, which in effect leads to the sizes of these brackets vary somewhat over time. You'll also see a person in a higher bracket than a coach with a higher CR. This is by design.

The exact details are not exactly relevant, and I will be monitoring how the system works overall as time goes by.

pity it can't reflect all games played, say in R and B, but I guess B has its own ranking system.

still, with so many coaches playing mainly in B, any chance we could see B rankings/status on the page too?

This.

I do really love the current change though, simple but adds so much extra to that page.

If Pythrr and I agree twice in the same day (or even year) it's gotta be right.

Actually how about an average of BBR and CR, that way to be a truly Legend coach you would have to master both.

I like this idea
