Im not the biggest fan of the whole TV bracket idea i understand that its to stop picking but shouldnt it then be based on the number of games that a coach has played not how many a team has played. Regardless not the point of this topic...

... flings NEED inducements at least 100tv but better is 400 so they can get deeproot. You may say well play the number of games needed so you can have open brackets which is fair but what about the opponents? By the time they have played the minimum number of games they are all skilled up and flying up in TV and well out of fling range.

I would like to see the tv brackets got rid of as they reduce the number of games played... failing that make flings (and gobbos) exempt from the rules.

I like the idea of the TV limit being down to number games by the coach rather than the team as the only point of TV limits in ranked is to protect newbies really.

TV and inducement are a very very good thing.
Without that, using a 1000TV team againsta a 1500TV team will be boring, for both the players

Are we just talking about in the Box?

Because in any other division what you want is already happening. In ranked you are only tied in to 10% for the first 3 game, after that it keeps increasing, until finally at 30+ games there is no limit.

edit: Just realised you was arguing against this format, although to be honest i still don't understand your point.

In ranked it happens every now and than to have 100k or more inducement... and 2 beer or an added apotecary, can make the game a bit more fair an enjoiable, for both the players

Could you show me a 30+ game team you would want to play against with flings.

You don't HAVE to play a 30+ game team, you can play any team you like, as long as they also fit into the TV brackets they are restricted to. Assuming that your average fling team might get to around TV 1300, that means at 15% (any team older than 3 games) you have got just under 200TV to play around with, are you saying that this fling team would want to actually start challenging teams above 1500TV? And if so are you saying that you wouldn't be able to find games at above 1500 for team older than 30 games?

I don't play ranked so i am not really in a position to say, but to me there doesn't seem to be a problem.

No i was thinking more like a starting build of

* 10 Halfling
* 2 Treemen
* 1 Reroll
* Total 600k

and getting deeproot and halfling chef against rookie teams seems like a good match. But currently cant happen.

Ok, now I understand. In which case I totally agree with the way it is done, to me that sounds like a good way to pick games at an early level. That team would beat most rookie teams with ease, unless you are intending to challenge dorfs or zons.

I can't say I would be ok with any attempt to make picking games easier, but then again my opinion counts for nothing since I don't play ranked, therefore i will keep out of the conversation now.

If you want to play that build you could always enter them into a SMACK couldn't you?

Really you think that team would win against. Amazon, Elf, Lizards, Skaven, Necro, Chaos dorf, dark elf, norse, undead, high elf, humans, dwarfs, orks or woodelves?

i think theres a difference between tv abuse and playing a roster that allows races to be used in the way they were intended, and i have to say for me i think flings were designed this way as jarvis says.

Most rookie teams are Chaos so yeah freak_in_a_frock is right.
I think it would still struggle vs zons dwarfs and elfs but that's about it.
