EMU SEASON 3 HAS BEGUN!
EMU is open to all non-elf teams in Open and DivX.
All elf teams are fair prey - Wood Elfs, High Elfs, Dark Elfs, and the new "Elves"
Points will be awarded for TDs (1pt), Casualties Inflicted (1pt for bh, 2pts for SI, 3pts for RIP, 6pts for RIP that stays dead - no apoth or failed apoth ), Wins (5pts), and Slam Dunks (7 or more cas in one game 10pts + the usual cas points)
Teams will lose 5pts for a loss, and lose 3pts for games in which they fail to score a casualty. In addition, you will lose points for casualties scored against you (1pt BH, 2pt SI, 3pt RIP) Getting killed by an elf is kinda embarassing!
Oh btw, If an elf team spanks an EMU team and gives them a negative score for the game, the Elf team can post that result in the thread and i will count it in the rankings! This ensures that not just successful EMU games will be posted in this thread.
Standings will be kept and posted weekly.
Finally, no personal attacks are to be levelled between coaches in the thread, chat room and PMs (Remember EMU critics - this is a two way street). So if you do have something to say, keep in character and be reasonably respectful, or I will deal out "da discipline!"

NEW FOR EMU SEASON 3: HEARTBREAKERS AND LIFE TAKERS
In addition to the single team championship, there will now be a coach championship as well. Any EMU coach can form a stable of teams. Stables may have 4 teams from any coach together (so btween 1 and 4 coaches)... If a coach leaves a stable his points dissapear (for the stable) and points are not transferable... and... each coach cannot be in more than one stable (at a time).
Simply have the appropriate teams join the group, and come up with a Stable name ex:"The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" Then post the formation of your stable in this FORUM
Coaches can have only a maximum of 4 teams in their stable at any one time. During the course of the season, you may replace 1 (one) of your teams with another team. The coaches with the highest point total at the end of the Season (May 1/04) will be declared the winner of the "EMU Stable Challenge"
2nd Change: You can now steal EMU points from other teams. If your EMU team is within 10TS of an EMU team you may challenge that team to a match. If they refuse to play you they lose 10 EMU Points. If they agree to play you the scoring is the same as for any normal game except the teams lose the points they scored less than their opponents. Example:
Team 1 vs Team 2
Team 1 3TDs, (1/0/0)
Team 2 1 TD, (1/0/1)
Team 1s Score: 3x1+1x1+5-1x1-1x3= 5
Team 2s Score: 1x1 + 1x1 + 1x3-5 = 0
5-0 = 5
In this situation Team 2 would lose 5 EMU points
All challenges must be posted in the EMU Challenge Thread.
Change 3: Games against the "EMU Hunters" are worth an extra 25% EMU points. Make sure you identify in your report that the game was vs. an EMU Hunter team/

Played my first EMU game, lots of fun this is although the boyz were a bit nervous and lost the game. Theyll keep fighting though

FYI, Wolter had the first EMU match of the season, and got himself a slam dunk with 2 permakills and won 2-1....
Unfortunatly the punk elf, who will remain nameless, decided not to upload. So we wait.

Hi bunny,
I'm not sure what the motives behind the EMU are, but I was thinking that maby it would be a good rule that someone who playes are EMU-game is entitled to inform the opponent that he's in the league before they agree to play the game. I think most people would get quite upset beeing tricked into a game just to notice the opponent just will go after destroying your team. But maby the general idea is to bring animosity and hard feelings between the fumbbl players?

Bunching Bravers 1 - 3 Phlop Stars
Funny and interesting match. We fought hard. We tried everything. Ref sent us from the pitch, but we gained some points:
1 touchdown for flying superboy.
3 BHs against some weak elves
6(3) SI (all of them nigglers, one APOed)
So 5 points as a very first shot. Bunching Bravers are in no stable. |
