its not even good on the beast, when a skill doesn't work far more often than it does, it sucks imo. I've lost count of how many stunties have escaped a sst5 tents player.

Well ok you do say it's just your opinion but anyway. Surprised

First off it works more often than not vs ST 3, judging a skill on too good/bad rolls is silly.

It's pretty risk free to use.

When it works it can be extremely destructive to your opponent's plans.

I like it. Smile

For the dwarf in question, dodge if the rest of your team takes dodge on doubles, if not probably diving tackle.

dodge, then guard and stand firm to have a bastion

or diving tackle to be an annoyer

depends on how you want to build him. DT is more situational, but it can be devastating to agility teams, although pointless against bash-focused teams.

Being R and specially if you want to go into tournaments with the team, having a couple of diving tacklers is incredibly useful.

I wouldnt take DT if you've Prehensile Tail as an option: less effective, but works an all dodges without any need to go prone.

Anyway, play dwarf if you dislike claw! Very Happy

I guess tail has its charms. It's more likely to be ignored (and cause turnovers/reroll loss on 3+dodges).

Not only has Diving Tackle won this poll, i am enthralled with the idea of dwarves with diving tackle, and stand firm, and shennanigans. I'm taking Diving tackle! (btw, not playing regular dorfs in case i decide to change my mind about claw at higher tv, where hitting things are harder... Plus Bulls. Bulls bulls bulls.)

I dunno..
DT is nice and all, but on MA4 guys... meh. Not that tents or tail is that much better due to low MA, but on the other hand they stay upright whatever the outcome of the dodge attempt.

Also DT and SF and Guard... that's alot of spp to go yet. And neither DT nor tail helps you get spp. Tents actually does...

dt also keeps people close. Some would rather take the hit than risk the dodge.

tents also works against leap Wink

But hope you find DT useful, i have it on a dwarf and wish i had taken something else, but regular dwarves can't take much better on doubles

Side Step. ST4, Guard, SS is great.

(Obviously Claw is the best option).

Well, DT worked excellent for me on this guy, sometime even better than on that one, since you simply can't get him away from the BC (or another important player). Of course your really have to be careful not to get out of position with him.

While Stand Firm next is a must in my eyes, taking MB over Guard could be a consideration with ST 4 (unless he already has it), since opponents will love to mark him somewhere and keep him there.

Edit:
Oh, and I can confirm that Side Step is awesome as well, especially combined with Guard!
