Check kalimars blog he says as much there however I also seem to remember him saying he has put html5 on the shelf for now and will work on bug fixing and other more important stuff first. But who knows we haven't heard from him for a while now I suspect real life has been pretty hectic for kal this last year.

To resurrect this thread, I'm looking at buying a Windows 8 Pro tablet.

Google tells me that since it's a full version of Win 8, I can install a JRE onto it, which should let me run the client. The question is, does anyone know how the client would work with it? I'm thinking potential problems with screen resolution and maybe touch events?

I own a Surface Pro, and I play FUMBBL from time to time on it. Sure, it's more confortable on my desktop (the Pro has a 10' screen with 1920x1080 resolution, so the client is a bit small), but it does the job.

I was also looking to buy one of those surface joints.. I figured I'll just try and spec a game inside the store before I buy it to see if I'll be able to Fumbbl on it.

I've tried with linuxonandroid app, installing linux on a tablet...

I got linux, firefox, java and javaws by icedtea.

I try to spectate a match, it downloads the jnlp file, it downloads the ffb client java file, then nothing

maybe I do mistakes or is there another way to configure it???

Sounds like your firefox browser does not launch javaws or similar to open the jnlp. You may be able to fix your browser configuration, that is local to your computer.

@glorss

What uuni said, or go to the destination folder and double-click the .jar file (which will probably not work) or try to run it from commmand line (which will probably not do it).

I didnt manage to make it work with openjava and from what i scrambled in the forums and the net pretty much nobody did.

My advice: dont invest too much time fiddling around with your configs. Get the official oracle java.

Edit: for deleting a question i could very well answer myself by using the forum it turned out Smile
