I think generally all of us are mega famous and well known for our Blood Bowl, but are there any other games you're a pillar of the community or passionate about? Been into for a long time?

You may come across the most terse of mices in the following of wheat fields:

Growing up, I played more Warhammer than Blood Bowl on the table, and I'm a real lover of Chaos Dwarfs. I had and possibly still have the best collection of 3rd edition CDs in the world.

I'm a big lover of GT car racing, and grew up with Gran Turismo, and then moved over to Forza series where I spent a lot of time. I now play on the PC with the old GTR2, where I like to make skins, like I make icons here.

I also like tactical games; particularly Japanese Battle/Tactical Role Playing Games. I have almost all of these games that have been released.

I also spend a lot of time playing zombies mod in the Black Ops series. I have got to level 40 on 5 different maps. You stand a good chance of getting a mouse verbal if you selfishly buy a shotgun or steal other players windows!

So...........how about you?

Warcraft 3 mod - DotA (Defense of the Ancients). I started to play it around 2005 (same as fumbbl) and have played it to this day. (except i play DotA 2 now naturally)
I've made a couple of DotA videos back in the days for fun and because some people even requested them from me. I have never been a famous DotA player, but i really am passionate about this game! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAtf6TuJ254 there is dota stylin 3 if someone is interested.

Magic the Gathering. Now this i have been playing at tournaments from 2002 to this day and my first cards i got were around 1995.
I've only won one Grand Prix Trial which led me to play in a bigger event (Grand Prix), so not that big of a deal in this hobby either, but again.. truly passionate.

The holy trinity of Blood Bowl, MTG and DotA has given/taken so many hours, but i think i will never completely stop playing these three !

Used to be heavily into sim racing when I had the time. Mostly GPL (Grand Prix Legends) and a lot of GP2 back in the day. I did a lot of work on skins, including for the GPL65 mod. Also ran a league for F3 GPL cars and later a 1965 mod league.

Seems like it was ages ago...

Famous is a big word, I don't think I'll ever get famous by playing all those stupid games Smile

My main passion is video games ( as you can see a pattern on my teams theme ), and especially Nintendo. Was a big nintendo fanboy when I was young. Have quite a decent collection of goodies/consoles/games.

I used to be a pretty big player (not good, just spent a LOT of time on it) of versus fighting games, street fighter and this, but the game I was kind of good at was :
the smash bros series.

The best game serie ever. I especially went into melee cause I had a lot of spare time. Held the top ladder position on cyberscore for a few months

Won a couple local events too, but was just barely decent on the upper level.

And when brawl came, I just couldn't put enough time to play competitively, got wrecked by 13y old kids in the last tournament I went to , so thought I was getting too old for this Smile
Really looking forward to the fourth one though. If I make a BB pause you'll know why Wink

I used to be extremely well known on the wizards of the coast D&D 4e forums for my ability to optimize characters, and to a lesser extent, my ability to bring roleplaying to the 4th edition when so many people thought it had become a pure tactics game (although I also liked the pure tactics behind it too, and especially liked showing how badly flawed the math behind the monsters stats were). Also for a short time did D&D 3e, but while I've played D&D since the original box set, I hadn't ever really been a part of the wider community beyond my own groups.

For a short time I was fairly well known as a reknowned warlock in WoW (helped write the initial warlock guide that lasted from Vanilla until most of the way through BC).

I've never been able to get into large-scale miniatures games, but I do like Battletech, as well as its RPG counterpart Mechwarrior. Sadly, being a grown-up has really cut into the time I have to play these games.

When I was younger, I was very into CCGs–– my favorites being Middle Earth: The Wizards, the Battletech TCG, Netrunner, MagiNation, and Hecatomb.

My favorite console games are mostly very early NES or SNES ones––
Faxanadu, Blaster Master, Crystalis and Bionic Commando are probably my favorites, mostly because of their fantastic music, play-control, and ability to create a unified atmosphere (even with such limited technological resources). I was also a big fan of the Megaman and Donkey Kong Country games.
On a similar note, I think it unlikely that any game will eclipse the SNES Zelda game in overall quality–– basically a perfect blend of story, audio-visual quality, challenge, scope, and scale.

The only major PC games I really got into were Heroes of Might and Magic I & II, Escape Velocity, and an obligatory amount of Warcraft/Starcraft. In college, games like GoldenEye, Halo, and Super Smash Bros. were popular, but I avoided them because they seemed like a cult. I did play a bit of Resident Evil 4 and found it pretty enjoyable.

Nowadays, most of the games I play are modern board or card games.
My recent favorites have been 7 Wonders, Imperial, Blood Bowl: Team Manager, Lords of Waterdeep, and MageKnight.

I used to play a lot of Call of Cthulhu Collectible Card Game (Fantasy Flight) before it became a Living Card game. We had a good community going and ran several official tournaments, which netted me a place in the top of the ranking. I wanted to go the World Championship, but alas health became a big problem. I don't think I've been as serious with a game ever since. These days I only play for the funs. And I barely play computer games these days (just FUMBBL and some good indie games).

Also, like most here, I have no time for most of the old PC/console/TT games I used to play. Now it is only FUMBBL, some Ruzzle, and I made the mistake of joining the kids on Minecraft PE. I think they mostly like having me around to work the mines and draw creepers away from their houses.

I used to be pretty well known (in game) playing Quest by KJC Games. I was never any good at it though - bit of a theme with my gaming actually.

Its more or less dependent on who you can play with. A very long time ago, I were in a loose group of gamers that used to play World in Flames. Not played that game or any iterative of it for years.

Of course, at the time I was a Japan specialist. Another guy liked to play USA, that meant China pre-war. Now, we were in this World in Flames game at his house, but while my move took a very short time, and his even less, we needed to wait for Sovjet union and Germany on the eastern front, something that took a very, very long time indeed. So, we just left and went to another room and played bloodbowl, game after game.

Afterwards I heard some guys though it was not respectful! But then not only was our front so much smaller, one guy forgot if it was Germany or Russia, played very s-l-o-w and careful to avoid mistakes.... So we got some extra hours over for BB (3-rd ed I think).

Nowadays, I mostly play Paths of Glory, and sometimes Titan. But that is so we can play one vs one, instead of in a group for the most part. I play a varied amount of other games in club settings, but I had to get to the Mess of the Defense college to play Command and Colors (Napoleonics) for the first time!

As a kid I played D+D 2nd edition, was always the DM, loved drawing dungeon maps.
Then 40k and Man o War and BB.

Last 10 years before I found this site it has been all Poker. I'm a long time member of The Hendon Mob Forum, where I met a couple of Fumbblers that I'm now in a league with.

I was known in the battlefield 1942 community. Was the teamleader of a mod for it, Wasteland 2042 and also did some minimods and was a mod on some forums, mainly the swedish battlefield.nu.
Never really got into the newer games in the series though.
