Hi,

I can't start the client. I always get an error box saying "Splash: recv failed".

I have searched an not been able to find a solution to this problem. Do any of you know how I can fix this?

I am a new user trying to get the client to run a game and I feel like I have been through the FAQ to the best of my knowledge.

So it hasn't run on my computer before... but I hope somebody can help me solve the problem.

More information regarding your computer is always good for these issues.
Please state:
Operating system
Java version
Browser
Firewall

I am very sorry that I didn't give enough info, I should of course have remembered that. Let me see...

Windows 7,
java version Version 7 Update 21,
chrome (but I also tried IE and got the same response)
and I run COMODO firewall (but I have tried to shut it down without result.

Hope that help?

Hi! I also need some help running the client. Anyone can tell me which ports should be open on the firewall to be able to run the client?

you shouldnt need to do anything like that.

Just click play next to your team and the program will open. alternately click games at the top of the page and try and spectate one first.

As long as you have java installed it should just open. If the file downloads but it doesnt open, try double clicking on the java file you downloaded and it should run that way.

Port forwarding isn't needed.

Another possibility is that your java file does not correctly get linked to javaws.exe. Make sure you didn't link it to a similar file in the folder.

I'm going to add the points for the forfeits based on who I think is still in it but considering that even those four coaches who supposedly were present didn't play it's hard.

Ok, was easy to find a fix:

The solution is to simply add javaws.exe to your list of allowed programs in Comodo Firewall.

Or just uninstall Comodo mallware

Let me explain my situation. I live and work in the same building and use the internet of my workplace at home. It is pretty restricted so that people don't use torrent, don't download illegal material and so on. I need to tell the admin what port the fumbbl client is going through so that he can make an exception.

Maybe simply leting through javaws.exe is the solution... will try. Thanks for the help.
