To proof my point I made a year ago (me being a slow painter): I'm still only halfway there. I hadn't touched the minis for months though, only recently started painting again. I'm still going for basic and found that the metally paint seems to cover MUCH better than the others so I'll be having lots of armour on my men. |

Bright colours (Reds and yellows) can be hard to make 'take' on black like that. Generally, if you want your minis to look bright (like these Slann), use a white undercoat, and if you want them to look more drab/gritty like these dark elves, use black undercoat. |
