Hi FUMBBL!

Recently sonrises made a blog post of the TOP25 coaches of 2013, which I really liked to
browse and inspired me to apply to the next Ranked minor tournament.

It also inspired me to make another top list for which I was curious for a long time. I decided to anounce the All-Time TOP12 masters of each race for both Ranked and Blackbox.

How can someone be a master? Well, the coach has to have a lot of matches of a particular race. Besides, he should have a good win/draw/loss ratio. In addition, the coach should also have a fair CR value. By checking the various results with my subjective senses I decided to use the following formula:

Weight = Played · Record%² · (CR-100)² / 100

The data came from the Coach Ranking page, and the weights were calculated for the TOP100 played coaces by race and division.

lol i thought this was about this etzel dude complaining about fumbbl mods Laughing

nice work, although the games played might have too much weight. Also the CR with the latest formula is very volatile.

Loving this, and thanks for your work.

It has everything i love: Numbers, but slightly hidden. Formulas derived from gut instinct. lists of people i might have heard of. Depth, i mean FEEL that depth, wow.

Proper lovely, well done.

But i sense its accuracy might not be to the level you might wish.

one entry caught my eye, which is Dorfs. I quite like Dorfs, and i flatter myself i am no mug with them. There are probably better Dorf coaches out there, but its the only race where I'd include the word 'probably' in the sentence.

And the list is all the people I'd expect. And pythrr.

pythrr is the top defining master of R Dorf play? In what world? in whose fevered imagination?

the Dorf R entry reads like this:

List of fruit: CHAIR, Orange, Apple, grape, pineapple.

I am not on a chaos dwarf list and i am more than a year nb1 chaos dwarff player in R and combined? Pffff...

Personally I think for more accurate results you should only count a coaches results after the first 50 or 100 of their games in a certain race. The current best Wood Elf coach may have lost their corset 50 before they cracked it.

But I love good list! Thanks for this.

i think any way you get the list is interesting, but im not sure what reality you are trying to get to.

Just taking Dorfs, how do you adjust for the number of games played in Tournaments, which have 0% chance of a draw. What about Azure's team, does it count as Dwarf? How much had i been smoking when playing any game? How much had PeteW been praying? How old are their teams? Some excell at rinse and repeat teams lasting only 6-10 games. Some play old old teams that will go through fallow periods. How much is CRP/LRB 4? And CR nowadays is about as stable as a 14yr old One Direction fan upon hearing they all died in a plane crash.

So, your list is fun, enjoyable and pretty. Everyone will love it. It is 'a' reality. But i'd give up on the search for 'the' reality if i were you.
