Might as well play Halflings. Last two Khemri seasons combined for 0-0-28. They need all the advantage they can get.

The Expansion draft is done, and I'm batting .833.

#1 New Tomb Jets (Khemri, DrPoods)
Eric Metcalf, Thro-Ra, Cleveland. +2AG, Block, MB (SH), 51 (84).

#2 Hearthstone Hexen (Dwarf, Pentalarc)
Trevor "Mutt-Mutt" Flyton, Runner, Cleveland. Juggernaut, Block, MB, PO, JU, 133.

#3 Cleave Land Brown Dawg Pound
David Attacker, Lineman, Seattle. Block, Kick, DP, 31.

#4: Cleave Land
D.C. "Alphabet Soup" Jefferson, Blitzer, Arizona. MB, PO, JU, 31.

#5 Hearthstone
Josie Skull, Slayer, Chicago. Tackle, MB, Guard, SF, 62.

#6 New Tomb Jets
Michael Bargen, Tomb Guardian, Cleveland. Block, Guard, MB, BT.

No compensatory picks have been awarded yet, but there's still time. Reviewing the teams, it looks like In-Sane Louie might also have a compensatory pick in this draft, given that they're below 1500k (before UDFAs).

Just a quick correction, Josie Skull was drafted as a Blitzer, not a Slayer.

Four picks have been made so far. All have been excellent. Apojar is doing the grades, I won't step on his toes, just reporting hard facts. My mock is blown to hell already, and I won't be revising it unless some other mocks go up.

#1 Jumpin' Jory Johnson will be a Thro-Ra in Indianecropolis. 6 4 3 7, Blodge, Pass, SH, Regen, 69 SPP. He will replace either a 15SPP Thro-Ra with Hail Mary or an AV-busted star with no specials (late-round draft pick last season).
#2 Alexander Teich will be a High Elf Blitzer in Lothern Bay. 8 4 4 8 Block, Mighty Blow, 37. He will replace a niggled rookie.
#3 Gary "Pyro" Wilburn will be a Beastman for In-Sane Louie, with 6 4 3 8 Blodge, Tackle, and 75 SPP. He will fill an empty slot.
#4 Lou Holts will be a Wood Elf Catcher in Buffalo. He's 9 2 4 7 Blodge, Catch, Diving Catch, 37. He will fill an empty slot.

Ban Francisco (Orc) is up next, then Gnawleans (Nurgle), then Pittsburgh (Chaos Dwarf), then the expansion teams: Hearthstone Hexen (Dwarf), the New Tomb Jetz (Khemri), and the Cleave Land Brown Dawg Pound (Dark Elf).

Ban Fran's draft pick will be interesting. Ban Fran's roster seems complete, they might take a fourth developed blitzer (can't have enough of that wonderful stuff) or they draft a thrower (big offers, but no real demand).
I say they go with UCLA's Kendricks.

Goblins make great draft picks. Good job, Keggie!

#5: Ban Fran. Emmitt Smith, Orc Goblin. 7 2 4 7 Blodge, Stunty, Right Stuff, Sure Hands

#24 NYG Vampire Thrall
Bull Darkson, Lineman, Texas S&M. +AG, Dodge, Leap, 42

There are four +AG players left, plus some good Strength players and a few quality three-skill linemen. I take back everything I said about this draft being thin. It's stunning that this kind of player quality is to be had.

To be fair JR, on the face of it the draft did look thin in certain areas.

Nice that it hasn't turned out that way.

By the way, hanging out for Chefcter and Wiper Jr. to do their thing on the Draft later on. Always a good read. In fact, the write ups played a major element in piquing my interest in the NBFL!

NYGL chooses something a bit unorthodox but fun looking.

Very interesting indeed.

Perhaps an exception to the standard "All Thralls are Biteable" rule?

Most Thralls are "dinner": this one is "dessert".

The good thing about thralls is that you can knock them off the field yourself as a way of protecting them.

Like Goblins. "Oh, dear, you're badly hurt. Can't get killed now!"
